Are you insane? The last bad call absolutely did influence the outcome of that game. You really are out of your freaking mind.

Perhaps you should re-read what I wrote a little more closely?

I'll wait for your revised response.

i had to hear about that call for three years!! i hate OU i was rooting for yall that game.

Right on. Thanks.

It was funny how the OU fans were like gentle old sweethearts during the first part of the series when they beat us. Then, the dark side came out after we beat them.

Piss off, you're out of your mind. I don't need to revise anything. You might want to revise what team you root for.

i will be fair it was a big outcome of the game i was pulling for oregon but it really did decide because yall marched down the field with a minute to go to take the lead.

ps when is BB suppose to arrive?

You don't want to know what it means. If you did, you wouldn't have any reason to be here.

Actually, I do want to know what it means. Either way it goes, I would prefer to just know and move on. It's not that big of a deal.

Also, given the way that fans have injected their own meaning into news and Brown's father apparently denying a UT trip, I will prefer to reserve judgement on what his statements mean for myself.

Would you like me to give you the link describing what logical fallacy you are employing here? :)

A link is probably not necessary. But some understanding of the "redundancy fallacy" might have some applicability to your discussions. That is the fallacy of thinking that just because one says something over and over again that this redundancy strengthens the argument. It doesn't. This is a principle so widely understood that citation would detract from the obvious.:tease2:

May God help this guy if Oregon goes down to the wire with an OU recruit next season.

I'll go ahead and start a running list for lost souls of the VN Patron Saint of Homers:

Pryor to OSU last year,
Brown to UT this year,
then somebody to OU, next year.

True. I was also thinking of a serious confirmation bias problem on wheaton's part.

Hey Jack. How did Droski transition here? Wheaton wants to become a Vols fan.

Droski was one of the most level-headed opposing fans this board has seen, set quite the example to live up to.

The other guy though... Seth maybe? He went down in flames in a bad way.

I accept your surrender on that point.

The problem there is that other bad calls in the game could have had just as much on the outcome leading up to the end. It's just not as obvious because they happened early in the game.

What if the bad call on the on-side kick happened in the second quarter, a bad call went against Oregon at the end and the Ducks won? Would everyone have blamed the early bad call then?

Earlier in the game, the play clock clearly expired on a 3rd and long for OU. Instead of losing a down, getting a penalty and punting they made a huge gain and scored on that drive. Had the call been correct, Oregon may not have even needed to go for the on-side kick in the first place.

Why should I revise my statement wheaton? Because you've converted me to being a super homer for the Oregon Ducks? Give me a break everyone besides you in the country knows that that botched onside kick call was THE reason yall won that game.

Wheaton, you seem like a decent (albeit misguided) guy, but I could site 226 posts that rejects the notion that this isn't a big deal.

what about that deflected ball on 3rd and 15 that was called a pass interference?? was that a good call when u could see the ball was tipped at the line

It's not a redundancy fallacy when it is a logical response to various people repeating the same arguments.

A redundancy fallacy is when an argument is repeated without change in response to new points or valid arguments. Nobody seems to be making any new valid arguments.

Including yourself. You're just rambling at this point

arguing with any fan from another team is like pissing into the wind. totally stupid and pointless.

Actually I couldn't think of anything more redundant. You are approaching fail.

Wheaton, your a special guy, and just to make you feel better... Oregon is a special place too. They have some tradition and they have really stepped it up a notch recently so kudos. However, comparing Oregon to Tennessee is like comparing apples to oranges. (no pun intended) As Tenacious D has pointed out, UT is far superior to Oregon in nearly every category except the uniforms -congrats btw-. So, enough with the whining and bickering and hopefully come Monday everything will be sorted out and everyone will be happy in one way or another when this whole saga ends. Have a wonderful evening.

Ahem... Bryce Brown anyone?

With respect to RockTop 16 who gets a pardon because of his allegiances, no own gives 2 squirts of piss about a blown call in an UO-OU game of years past.
