That's just where they've determined that people will start taking that bet for that value. But, I'm sure you understand how odds and public perception work.

The odds for west coast teams are almost always inflated to some degree because of their proximity to the gambling and resort towns. No different with Oregon.

U of O, Class of 95 here. I'm guessing the Rose Bowl I got to go to back then to see Penn State steam roll us will be the last Rose we see for a while. NC?...umm no. That 20-1 should be 200-1, no way the ultra-liberal mentality of Eugene can harbor a team with the killer instinct needed to go undefeated, in my humble opinion. In the Pac-10, that is what a team like Oregon would need to even get a shot. Lucky for me I'm from Tennessee and bleed orange so we can all just look past the fact I shared college classroom space with chicks who don't shave.:eek:hmy:

Funny stuff... I'm in a similar situation, tuition w/o aid here is under $2k/ semester, but born in Knoxville.

There's some decent college football spirit out here, but high school and under is sad, I miss the intensity back east.

I usually read through all the Vols Only new posts...the last two days, this is the only thread I have worried with :)

I got an unexpected text message.

Guys, I hinted as much as I can. The rest of it is going to someone who will benefit from "breaking" the story. He deserves it and it'll done at some point tomorrow afternoon.

(since I'm a selfish scooper and all)

It is of relief you have realized the err of your ways and started to report the news versus being the news.

Good job. Remember one success is not one to retire on so keep plugging away and be consistent.

I never doubted you, just felt you got to close to the subject from a non objective viewpoint and the reporting became too subjective.

Remember, you are young and it is hard to please the masses all the time. There are no saviors in the world of recruiting and it can be a lonely island when wrong. Save yourself from it because through experience I have been there.

High Altitude Low Opening

They're jumping so high, they'll probably be wearing oxygen masks. All you'd see would be a fast streak of a body falling through the sky as the shoot opens late, just before they'd otherwise splatter on the ground.

It's the perfect way to sneak BB into Knoxville. It's one way of inserting spooks in far away lands.

No worries. Rod Wilks will be there to catch them.

If you read this one, there's not time for anything else.

I need a vacation and can't imagine how poor ole wheaton feels. He lives in this thread and his team doesn't stand a chance of getting this prospect.

OK...so BB is currently on a flight from DFW to Atlanta. He will arrive in Knoxville early this afternoon. Butler is accompanying BB and his family on the trip. Brent Hubbs will break the story in this afternoon's news cycle (or through the website just before the news cycle).

Okay. That's a better summary than mine. The job is all yours. :good!:

No. He's on the shuttle with me, going through equipment checks.

Nice. You had this figured out earlier, didn't you?:hi:
