Interesting,...quote "He was good at Tennessee and had moments when he was better than good"...really, I don't recall the better than good moments from Bryce. Wonder what he was going back to TN for....wasn't there something about him getting his girlfriend pregnant while he was at TN?

I couldn't remember him being "better than good" unless it was against WKU or whoever, but that doesn't really count. lol

I am not saying that I want Bryce here, he made his decision and will have to live with it. But, some of the guys on here act like he had no talent and can not hold a candle to Poole, which is crazy.

Sounds like your the one ridin his jock! Bryce has done zilch in college!!!! Poole 1,100 yds rushing period

Bryce has had 1 year in college. It took Poole 3 years to match Bryce's production as a true freshman in the SEC.

You're delusional. First of all, he is NOT a kid. None of these players are. They are men that should have the balls enough to make their own decisions. But, aside from that, Bryce would be behind Tauren if he were still here. There is not an argument you can produce that says otherwise.

If I have to pick between a proven 1000-yard rusher in the toughest conference in America and an unproven #1 recruit that hasn't done ANYTHING in a less than strong conference, it's Tauren all day.

Good luck in life. You're going to need it based on your rationale.

Are you sure Bryce hasn't done anything in a "less than strong conference"? That's a pretty bold statement.

Name the last RB that sought out contact that had a sustained career in the NFL.

I love when fans feel like players owe them injuries to fight for an extra yard or two.

You mean the one that made Tennessee relevant?

Face it. Bryce is a good running back and will do good things at KState.

Neither one of them made Tennessee squat!! I never said he wasn't a good rb he just hasn't done jack in college! Like I said I'm still waiting #1 player my azz!!

Bryce had 1 injury-riddled season in the SEC behind a soon-to-be 2nd round draft pick (who's battling to be an NFL starter). He still managed 460 yards (over 4.5 yards per carry). That's not shabby given the circumstances.

Anyone who thinks a healthy bryce brown is in the same conversation with taurean poole in terms of talent is not ever going to be a scout. If his hip never heals he will probably still finish his college career with more production than poole. If it does heal, he will be a guy in college who is compared to ronnie brown and lattimore. He could be a head case like ricky williams but he also has absurd talent.

"Kinda doing my own thing." Lulz at the thought of saying that to any football coach at any level, I can see my high school coach going ballistic.

Bryce Brown's talent dwarfs that of Poole, and that's not a knock on Poole. Poole has shown that he can be a dependable back in the SEC. If Brown stays healthy and gets his head on straight, he'll eclipse Poole's college numbers and go on to be a first rounder in the NFL. Again, no offense to Poole but Brown wasn't the #1 overall RB in his class for no reason.

"Better than good"
against WKU he was better than good but they were worse than bad.

looking back most his td's came within the 5 yd line, after Hardesty did most of the grunt work.

Although, this may not be saying much. Not much to choose from in the Big-12, I guess.

Good point. I'm sure there is no talent in the backfield at Oklahoma, OkSt, A&M, or Texas.

I have nothing against the kid, but I hope when we start winning he regrets his decision to listen to his daddy. While family input is important on ones college choice, it should be where you want to be the most that matters in the end.

Poole gonna get 1300 this year.

No he won't. If Lane is really as good as some have been saying, he'll start taking away a decent chunk of Poole's carries.

I also expect Neal to be much improved and get a solid share of carries as well.

I wish him success, but his attitude and decision making seems to point toward a poor ending.
