Seriously, this is a future ESPN 30 for 30 episode. What a wasted talent. Seems like Kiffy was wrong about Jefferies at USCe...it will be Brown pumping gas for a living.

In all seriousness, I think he'll get drafted in the 5th or 6th round.

I don't know? He will definitely get the chance to stick somewhere. I see JJ going in the second or third round depending on whether he can pass the drug tests. Someone might take a shot on Bryce in the 7th round...maybe...?

He'll get drafted late. He's certainly got the talent. He just has to get his head right. If he can get on with a team that can mentor him and bring him along he will be a good NFL back. Had his family not messed him up he likely would have been a first day pick and a great NFL back.

Only reason I say that, no matter how his college career ended, the kid was a good athlete and a good RB imo. He was running behind a 2nd team all SEC RB in Montario Hardesty and still had a decent season as a true freshman. I havent seen him lately but if he has stayed in good shape, I see a team taking a late round gamble on him.

Yes, I can see that.

Be shocked if BB is drafted....and JJ a 7th round type player imo (with 1st round potential). Personal issues huge red flag in NFL. Having said that I hope both these young men get their lives turned around and are successful.

Watching ESPN's 30 for 30 on "The Best that Never Was" (Marcus Dupree) makes me sad.
The Bryce Brown situation makes me sad for the same reason. Wasted potential.
Watch these highlights from Brown's freshman year and see the great vision and quick cuts he makes:
Tennessee Volunteer Bryce Brown 2009 highlights - YouTube

Bryce Brown could have had a fantastic career at Tennessee.
But all he is now is a sad story.

I could see someone signing him as an undrafted free agent. I don't know that anyone would spend the draft pick on him.

I hope he can over come his issues and make something of himself on or off the field. So sad to see such talent go to waste.

It's a shame things didn't work out for him. He is clearly talanted. I watched those highlights and something I also see is pretty decent run blocking. Hopefully we'll get back to that this season.

As for BB, I don't see a team wasting a draft spot on him. He has raw talant, but his is too unproven for an NFL team to gamble away a draft spot. He may get signed later on as an undrafted free agent, and he will probably end up boucing around on practice squads until he either gives up or gets good enough to get a roster spot.

This. I'll be surprised if someone spends a pick on him.
