Al Davis didn't die, he just kills kids in their dreams now.

Hmmm, kinda looks like Al

Be shocked if BB is drafted....and JJ a 7th round type player imo (with 1st round potential). Personal issues huge red flag in NFL. Having said that I hope both these young men get their lives turned around and are successful.

How do you know Bryce Brown needs to turn around his life?

My God. Do any of you people have an ability to differentiate circumstances?

As far as I know, Brown has never been in trouble. Made good grades and other than his step father givinig him bad advice, he's a good character.

It's likely that most of the posters in this forum have far more character issues than Bryce Brown

He'll get drafted late. He's certainly got the talent. He just has to get his head right. If he can get on with a team that can mentor him and bring him along he will be a good NFL back. Had his family not messed him up he likely would have been a first day pick and a great NFL back.

no i think he is just another over rated bust.

You're right......at least Clarett was productive for a year

Whatever smartass

My point was that Bryce Brown hasn't had legal troubles or character issues like Clarett so it's beyond stupid to make comparisons

Ummm...He and his handlers made a circus out of his recruitment. He never showed the ability to be the number 1 recruit in the country. Cried his way out of his commitment to UT (or was that his handlers) transfered to Kansas State and managed with all his tremendous ability to be fourth team until he WALKED AWAY FROM HIS TEAM..... and if the stories are true back to hanging around the university he chose to leave. No Issues there.

I'm in Las Vegas so I don't get the local Knoxville reports, but I think I understood he had a girlfriend at UT?

My sense is that if he'd walked his stubborn/supid butt over to Dooley's office, hat in hand, he'd be headed for a 1st-round draft choice in the 2014 draft.

With Bray, Rogers, Hunter and Patterson (and the OLine) as seniors in 2013, whoever's running the ball for the Vols is going to pack the stat sheet.

Do you know him personally?

If not, your post is nothing more than speculative BS. I thought he showed great ability while he was here. I suppose I have a completely different perspective than you though.

You're like a lot of the others in our fanbase.

Does the NFL do mentoring?

Wasn't the excuse that his father was sick? And he had to be near him?

Well, did the father die? Or is he moving his sickbed to the NFL team where Bryce ends up?

If he's already declared for the draft, then it's too late to get back into the college game, if memory serves me right. But yeah, it's a steep hill to climb trying to get in the league when you haven't even done what it takes to showcase your abilities at the college level.

His problem is that he has listened to all the bad advice. He should have stuck it out here and told his folks that he made his choice and commitment and isn't going to back out of it. He could have come to Dooley and offered to be a preferred walk-on, to get back in the good graces of the staff.

Would like to see Detroit sign him as a back-up, since they have had their share of injury issues at the RB position. J. Best has had a history of concussions, so he may not even get through a full season.

I don't know? He will definitely get the chance to stick somewhere. I see JJ going in the second or third round depending on whether he can pass the drug tests. Someone might take a shot on Bryce in the 7th round...maybe...?

Poor guy will probably be categorized as a 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' type player when it is all said and done..

Today's deli: Rib Eye w/ provolone on white w/ mustard peppers & pickles, Sour Onion chips and a draft beer.:hi:

Legal issues? No. Character issues? One could make the case he lacks character based on how he left.
