Bryce Harper and Tennessee connection

Bryce Harper early in his career suffered a lot of the same problems that Tennessee as a whole does now.

A lot of it self inflicted, a lot of if misconceptions for both. But for anyone who was around for mid 2010’s Harper, they know what I mean.

It’s a natural marriage for him to gravitate towards and support what Tony’s doing here.

I'm really not sure what to think about the hat he's got on. But, glad he's on our side.
I don't know the origin, here is a link the web site for these hats.

Lifelong Braves fan here…..I dont want to like him but this changes things a little bit

I would like to know the significance of the upside down letters
I was is Fulton county stadium when I was less than a month old. So I have been a Braves fan all my life basically. I also started following Harper’s career when he was a 15 year old teenager. So I love the Braves but also love Harper and the way he plays the game. His leadership ability and loyalty in resigning with Philly are very impressive in this age of high bidder free agency .

Life long Braves fan since I’m from the Atlanta area but when we lived in Southaven, MS for a year we caught several Red Birds games. I enjoyed that ballpark.
Yeah Redbird stadium is really nice. And you get to see major league talent nightly....I just wished it was located somewhere besides downtown. Just a few steps away is one of the most dangerous areas in Memphis....and that's saying something.

He's a good guy off the field so I will give him lots of props for that first.

But he's a loud mouth hot head on the field, throwing temper tantrums, bats, helmets, f-bombs, etc, and gets tossed way too much for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I love a guy who isn't afraid to confront an ump but he takes it to the extreme too often. Because of his success at the plate and recent playoff success, he is a great player. Kids naturally want to be him. Until he matures a lot more, he will continue to offend many, especially umps and opposing fans, and not be a great example for the kids.

I would give him more of a pass if he was on the Braves roster. But I still wouldn't want my kid acting the way he does when things don't go his way on the field.

Sounds like he would have fit right in with some of our previous teams. 😀

I say the more MLB stars that want to promote TN the better. I wouldn’t be opposed to Aaron Judge rocking a Tennessee hat. The more places you see our brand, the better it is for recruiting and stability of the program.

Love that Bryce sees the monster Tony has built and respects it.
I think Bryce likes the edge Tony’s teams seem to always play with. Plus we play hard every game.
