Love the clamoring about fairness when the big 6 conferences have raped and pillaged all the smaller conferences basically forever.

Like them or not Boise State has proven they can play with anyone in the country. They might not play the schedule everyone wants them to play but when they do play the big boys they have won everytime.

If I'm not mistaken haven't some teams from BCS conferences dodged BOISE ST. after they had issued a challenge to play them?

The BCS system was set up with TV ratings and money in mind. Implying that it is fair is beyond silly.

It was set up to create a more definitive championship for a sport that cannot have a playoff.

Just to clarify, if the talent gap were so small Boise wouldn't be 200-0 the last few years.

A playoff has a very good potential to be more unfair and liable to fixes for the Alabamas, Notre Dames, USCs, Michigans, OSUs, and Texas' of the NCAA's big markets to get into the playoffs.

The BCS is not perfectly fair (AND I didn't say it was) but just let a playoff system come into being and watch the pieces get moved on the board to increase chances of certain teams' entrances to the playoff.

I also did not imply it was fair either, just that in my opinion it will be worse (less fair) when a playoff is figured out and agreed upon. We shall see.
