Swing and a miss - Schofield averaged over 40% from 3 after his freshman season.
Still, Admiral will always be Robin to Grant's Batman. I have nothing but love for Admiral, still do, Everytime he plays a game in the NBA, I'm checking his stats. None so far, this year, but he will get another chance, imo

I’m sure your enjoying your evening, but the statement made was Vescovi was a better shooter than Bradshaw and Schofield. No one was being compared to Grant? But hey, nothing but love for ya Dog!

It is smart to distribute the minutes amongst 11 or 12 players at this point of the season. There is no telling which ones will be injured and we’ve had a rash of those over the last several years. Those that were calling for Uros to never play another minute are fools. We might need extended minutes from every one of Uros, BHH, Fulk, Aidoo, and ORN at some point this year. Plus anybody can get into foul trouble as unpredictable as officiating has become. Probably the same clowns that were screaming the same narrative about Fulkerson a couple of years ago.

I’d like to see Mashack and Aidoo get minutes over the next few weeks. That translates to 13 deep for now (it’s safe to say that Tamba won’t be getting any minutes as #14 this year). The competition for playing time makes everybody better.

TN might have the luxury of sitting every player with any illness or slight injury this year. KC being a probable exception.
I have been as critical of Plav as anyone , but against UNC he played over his head. Which is not great. But, maybe there is some hope he might get a few minutes against the cupcakes

UP’s handful of minutes allowed ORN to sit out for several while in foul trouble. I’m glad that Plav was there and ORN wasn’t sitting with his 5th halfway into the 2nd period.

Good info from Will Warren on Powell and why he hasn’t gotten huge minutes…

“I think Powell has to play 20-25 minutes a night but you’ve just gotta get used to the drawbacks: 8 points and a generally good offensive day, but not much a difference-maker defensively and frequently picked on. Through four games, once adjusted for luck, Tennessee is precisely as good when Powell is on as when he’s off, because while the offense is five points better per 100 possessions with him out there the defense is five points worse. This is annoyingly right in line with last year at Auburn; I think that should probably explain why he won’t get 30 minutes a night.”

We are also talking pretty small sample size. Four games is a lot of variance. If we are 10-12 games in with that being the same I’d say there would be correlation.

Well it’s 10 games at Auburn and 4 at Tennessee that apparently tell the same story, I wouldn’t it should be completely dismissed.

Way too little sample size from Auburn and here.

Hopefully there’s some improvement as he continues to develop chemistry with this team. Plus you know Barnes is making him work on the defensive end. He’s still young enough that improvement is not only possible but likely.

OK, I'm off the ledge now...Good point, he is only a freshman, based off games played.

Yesterday's game against Villanova was a rout plain and simple. They are a great team and played us very well. They lost to Purdue today but kept it close.

I'm glad we rebounded and beat a good UNC team. It showed a lot about this team. I think UNC will have a nice season if they get some improvement in their guard and post play.

GBO

Bacot and their white big that was nailing 3's kept us from beating UNC by 30+. Their guards did nothing.
