If his defender has to guard him out there it opens up the lane for drives. Imagine playing Purdue but Edey has to leave the paint.I don’t see the logic in having my tallest player taking 3 pointers regularly unless he’s the best shooter on the team. Our other 4 starters are all better from distance. Unless the other team can defend such that those guys can’t get good looks from 3 then it makes more sense to have our longest guy rebounding. JMO
Agreed if he could make them consistently in the 35-40% range. Based on how he’s shot the 3 to date, I’d stay in the paint and dare him to chunk up 3’s.
