Buc-ee's

I might stop by when visiting family, if its late. But when I'm traveling I want to limit the number of stops I make and when I do stop I want to get in and out.

Last few times I've stopped it's been for gas and bathrooms. Used to get a sandwich but I pass now at $8.49+. I usually don't mind a few extra minutes for the cheaper gas and huge bathrooms. Rare that I buy more than gas and a drink or coffee.

Only Buccees I've been to is the one in Crossville. First time was just in my pickup and early in the morning so relatively quick and easy. Second time tried stopping there was a Saturday afternoon and I was pulling the camper and wife was pulling the boat, huge mistake trying to stop for fuel and a bite. Took 30 minutes just to circle around and get back on the road, never did get to a fuel pump or attempt to park.

That's the problem, you are treating it like a gas station, not an destination. Silly.

I went to Buc-ee’s this evening while traveling. I bought the turkey BBQ sandwich, and IMO, it’s just as good as the brisket sandwich.

There’s something that happens to people in Buc-ee’s though. They completely lose their sense of spacial awareness. Yes, it’s crowded, but people make it seem way more crowded than it is by walking in groups of 6 in a straight, horizontal line, or completely blocking an isle with zero courtesy to others. This has seemed to be the case in every Buc-ee’s I have entered.

It's the crack in them beaver nuggets 👀🤣

OK, brisket is a major selling point if it's good.
Brisket is great. I have been to both locations in Alabama(Athens and Leeds) and the sliced brisket sandwiches don’t disappoint. Also you can a get name brand items such as Oakley, Costa, Yeti and many more items. The beef jerky selection is the largest I have ever seen of any store. You can get chicken sandwiches, chopped or sliced brisket, pulled pork and more. It’s a one stop shop for everything if you’re traveling.

Even though it’s basically a strip mall with gas pumps, I was shocked to see how much the employees make working there. You can make a career at Buc-ees

Yeah, it is not a quick stop
Takes me usually 10-15 minutes to get a pound of sliced brisket. Only takes 15 minutes if they are having to go get more. I've been to 3 (Crossville, Athens, AL and Calhoun, GA). In all 3, I've pretty much been in ands out as quickly as possible.

I was traveling by the Sevierville on Sunday and decided to buy gas there. I think you want to avoid that one on weekends. It hasn't been bad when I've been by there on weekdays.

That place is the worst. It's the wal-mart of gas stations, but feels like a vegas casino. Loud noises, hoardes of overweight tourists everywhere, it's just an abomination. Couldn't wait to get out.

The only redeemable quality I could notice was good customer service. Reminded me of a QTs customer-service wise, which I'd rather go to 100 out of 100.
