Buc-ee's

That’s close to what I pay for a combo at ANY fast food restaurant here in the Days of Brandon FWIW. And the brisket actually TASTES GOOD

No it doesn't. Give me McDonald's any day over that (except the McRib, which is too similar to their oversauced cheap brisket).

My point:

If you're going to build this behemoth of a gas station, with 100 pumps and basically a Stuckeys, a BBQ joint, a Dollar General, and 100 commodes, give the people a break on the food/drink prices. It ain't Dollywood!

Understand. Have only been to the one between Atlanta and Chattanooga and was pretty stunned by the price of the food. Brisket sandwich was mediocre @ something like $12. Chicken tender wrap was actually better. People were snatching them up as fast as they could put them out though so doubt they see any benefit in selling them cheaper.

I will go back at some point but likely not eat there again. Especially not try to feed the family. Was like $50 for meh food.

I wonder how many 1 and doner's eat there?

We've stopped at that same Calhoun GA location on the way to and back from PCB over the past 2 years. We've had breakfast and lunch and both were at least $45. *The breakfast burritos are pretty good.

The 1st time we ever went to Buc-ee's, as a family of 4, I spent around $200. I got mesmerized by the size, the crowd, and all the commotion. We literally went nuts. We bought shirts, magnets, BBQ, pepper jack cheese, hot crackers, a pound of fudge, beaver nuggets, 2 different kinds of jerky, and a couple of kolaches. It was at the Calhoun location on a Saturday evening and it was a freaking madhouse. The brisket station reminded me of the scene in Mad Max Fury Road. That scene when Immortant Joe turned the water on and the peasants below were forcing their way to the front. When the employees were putting out the chopped brisket sandwiches, I got shoved from behind and I body checked some biker looking dude, that probably could've whooped by butt, good thing he was laser focused on that brisket tray. I had my teenage son box out some old woman. It was crazy and made me crazy. We had to "risk it for the brisket" as the billboard says.

Stopped in one outside Houston on Memorial Day to see what all the fuss is about. Place was a mad house. Hard to get in and out to get gas. Store was packed. Bathrooms were massive and clean. I'll stop at Love's or Pilot next time to avoid the crowd.

So we stopped at the Florence location twice on vacation. Had the brisket sandwich. Never actually done their Q before. It's great, for gas station BBQ, but to pricey.

I got a new tumbler. Those are awesome and I get one every vacation. But the best thing was a new hoodie. Myrtle was rainy and cool at times this week and we went to a too cold movie theater. So I wore it a couple times. I think I have a new favorite hoodie. I haven't found that thick and soft a hoodie in a minute.

We go to Myrtle a lot but we’ve only made it to the round about a couple times and decided it wasn’t worth it.

We were going to go to the Florence location on the way back from Savannah, but it was too far out of the way on our way home that we decided to wait. I'll wait until I take a trip to Sevierville to see what it's all about.

We're actually going up there for the tiny HateSteve's birthday on the 28th. I'm still debating if I want to try going into the new one that close to it opening though.

We were gonna go for the better half's sons birthday since we're going to Top Golf but also may steer clear of the crowds
I'm guessing that location is going to be a mad house, even for Buc-ee's. That exit already gets an insane amount of traffic.
