BREAKING: Atlanta police officer shot at midtown apartment building
Nothing from @luthervol on this. I am disappointed.
Forgot this was a thing.Rayshard Brooks autonomous zone run by Gang Who Shot 8-Year-Old Girl, GBI warrant alleges
The Bloods street gang overtook an area in Atlanta known as the Rayshard Brooks autonomous zone last summer and is also linked to the fatal shooting of an 8-year-old girl, according to a new warrant shedding light on the nights of riots and violence in the city last year.
"The Bloods gang and its associates operated the area as an ‘autonomous zone’ in which the sovereign authority of the City and State were not recognized, and the Bloods gang exerted all control," a warrant filed last week states.
Members of the Bloods seized the area through the "brandishing, pointing and discharging of firearms at citizens and civilians to ensure compliance with their authority in a highly visible manner."

Perhaps if Atlanta's administration ran the city in an even remotely responsible manner, the smart money wouldn't be looking for the exits. The good news for Atlanta is that they have Coca Cola and a bunch of other completely woke companies in their midst. Perhaps they can hit them up for payouts.Buckhead district one step closer to leaving Atlanta
One of Atlanta's wealthiest and whitest enclaves got one step closer Thursday to forming its own city after a contentious three-hour hearing before a state Senate committee.
Supporters and opponents of the creation of Buckhead City traded jabs about the motives behind the push to leave Atlanta. Supporters say the streets of Buckhead have become a playground for lawless behavior, while opponents claim Buckhead's true motivations are race-based and argue stripping Atlanta of the tax revenue generated by Buckhead would bring Georgia's largest city to its knees.

Notice ATL practically shutup after Buckhead moved on this?Perhaps if Atlanta's administration ran the city in an even remotely responsible manner, the smart money wouldn't be looking for the exits. You mean Woka Cola?Perhaps if Atlanta's administration ran the city in an even remotely responsible manner, the smart money wouldn't be looking for the exits. Not totally relevant to the thread topic, but Cobb county will start expunging some records. https://www.ajc.com/neighborhoods/c...ek/FUQWJHGMFBBJBHG25LFPSV4VZI/?outputType=amp
One thing that stuck out was you still had arrests on your permanent record even if charges were dropped. That just seems wrong.
Sounds like only the non violent are qualified under this.
Overall sounds like a good thing.
I actually lived in Cobb co for 4 years as a kid in elementary school. Feeders to McEachern HS...we have pulled a couple Vols from that powerhouse (or at least the Indians used to be) . Lived in powder springs and it was a nice suburban middle class place circa 1987 lmao....bet it is badly rundown by now though, other than maybe the schools? Havent ever been back there.
The traffic and crime in ATL are insane...it is a HUGE city. Has to be biggest in the SE right? Maybe 4 MM people? 8 lanes each way on 385 and it stands still for hours every day...nightmare. Have driven thru several times. IiRC ....research shows any lanes added after 4 each way with our exit designs etc do nothing to alleviate traffic....more parking lot is the only benefit. Seems all the changing of lanes that comes with the extra lanes negates any benefits because all those lane changers slow everyone down....
Remember when Luther was promoting our mayors leadership in the Canada thread? Saying how she handled the riots well? Pepperidge farm remembers.
The Atlanta Police Department has said 'irresponsible gun ownership' has led to many of the shootings this year, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, after more than 2,000 firearms were stolen from vehicles in Atlanta last year.
