Bulletin board material?

I agree except this in Georgia so the thundering crowd will be challenging for the Volunteers, and because Tennessee will most likely have to use drives more than 2 minutes to score points vs Georgia.

I think Tennessee has already shown they can sustain drives or score quickly, pretty much whenever they choose to do either. If weather sucks, and that's where the forecast is trending, it could tamp down some of the fan rowdiness. Of the things I'd be worried about as a Tennessee fan tho, hostile crowd doesn't really merit concern. If we strike quick it could be Tennessee fans causing Georgia false starts like what happened to LSU in Death Valley lol.

With us being #1 playing the #3 team who’s favored by more than a TD, I would imagine CJH will be able to see that to the team as motivation very effectively. We’ve already breezed through potential trap games with a lofty ranking, I feel like the spotlight effect has largely sunk in before now, this team is ultra focused.

Ok the main challenge will be can Tennessee succeed with great blocking.
If they can than realistically they can quiet the crowd even before they score points.

I really don’t see the Tennessee defense scoring the needed points to win if the Tennessee offense can’t win the battle of the trenches.

We need to stop with these loser threads about bulletin board material or Georgia playing with an edge because we are now ranked #1. We are 8-0 and clicking, any team that plays us better be focused or they will get blown out, our team commands that respect, similar for Georgia being 8-0 and defending champs. Rankings and media talk is just that, talk. Both teams are good and will need to bring their A game to come out with a win. If Georgia wins it will not be because the Vols got ranked #1 and if we win it will not be because Vegas favored Georgia

I think the o-line will be just fine. You think it will come down to a defensive score in this game? Maybe but if we take away their run and force the game onto Bennett and Bowers shoulders I like our chances. If they're one dimensional they won't win.

Heupel hasn’t over looked any opponent all season.

They’ve competed hard and took care of business against everyone on their schedule so far.

This isn’t Pruitt or Butch coaching anymore.

Heupel has his team hungry for an SEC Title run.
This. They have played 4 quarters of football as hard and best as they can. No team in the past 15 years has done that. You might get a half, or 3 quarters of good play, but there was always some fall off.

Tennessee hasn’t defeated Georgia since 2016, and the last 2 seasons Georgia has embarrassed Tennessee.

That’s why I’m not overreacting to Tennessee being ranked number 1 before they play the 3rd ranked Bulldogs in Georgia.
The Bulldogs have a great defense that realistically can hold the Volunteers under 30 points, and most likely Tennessee won’t be scoring quick the way they did Vs Kentucky, and Alabama.
Vols should have had them in Athens in 2020 were it not for Guarantano giving Georgia the ball all the time

Both teams stand clearly in the way of each other's Natty dreams. That is what is at stake. Who wants it more? And a little luck wouldn't hurt. GBO

I’m saying I don’t think Tennessee can win with the defense scoring points if Tennessee can’t succeed with successful blocking.

The Volunteers have a realistic chance of winning if they can keep Bennett contained in the pocket, mostly contain Bowers so he doesn’t have a great game, protect the football, and Hooker having time to throw because of great blocking.

UGA needs zero extra bulletin board material. Imagine we win the championship this year, we start 9-0 next year and all the media does is gush over a rival of ours that is having an unexpected complete breakout year, and mostly ignore us. UGA feels beyond disrespected since about the time we beat Bama.

The media rogues will always favor hookers over stetsons.

They have earned that disrespect based on how they have played against far inferior opponents.

Maybe we should just do away with any and all message boards and not even talk about it! Loser threads? SMH!

I’m just saying motivation is that it’s a matchup up of 2 teams that are 8-0 and play in the SEC, what number is next to their name does not matter or add any real level of motivation. Teams that are irrelevant care about beating the team currently ranked #1, relevant teams don’t worry about things like the number next to the name of a team they beat because you are or will be in front of them.

So, you actually believe that the defending National Champions don't take umbrage with a team they've owned being ranked above them? If you do, you may not understand motivation.

Neither one of these teams needs Bulletin board material. They are in the position they are in because they work, study film, and execute. I don't think it's possible for any player on an 8-0 team, playing a 1-2(or 1-3) matchup to be any more fired up and ready.

It's clear to me that a lot of guys don't understand competitive fire! Obviously, Heupel does since he referenced another coach or player saying that the Vols offense wasn't "real football."

Tennesee ranked number 1? Is this bulletin board material? You bet it is. Georgia really has something to prove against the Vols now. And if the Vols think they're truly number one? They're gonna have to prove it! Go vols!
All the pressure is on Georgia. They are the current champs, playing at home, and are the oddsmakers’ pick. They don’t want to lose and have to deal with the weeks of “what happened?” and “if only.” Our Vols should play free and loose. And tear ‘em apart. GBO

It's hilarious that the defending National Champion Bulldops are the latest bad guys in TN's "worst to first" storybook season. If GA wins as expected they look like bullies, but it's far funnier and satisfying to everyone who's not a GA fan if they lose. So they have to lose.

All we have to do is put Mike Berardino’s AP vote on the bulletin board and problem solved. We were disrespected by an AP vote.
