While I understand your intention behind the thread, overall its a pointless thread. We as Vols fans have been waiting for so long to have a competent coach who actually gets the fanbase going that the majority of fans don't know how to act. Its just a saying.

Is this somewhere in your volnation rule handbook rule #15?? I've been reading on here for years, rarely do I post because of all the ignorance. I mostly just get on here to stay updated with what's going on before the season with recruits and such. And oh yeah, butch gets it ;) Go Vols!

It's a common "tongue in cheek" phrase...just like "Work like heck" was tied to Fulmer. It works (like heck) :) ...so don't sweat it.

Seriously though, good post OP. The whole "gets it" thing is EASILY the most annoying thing that's taken hold in quite some time.
