Dobbs was here on his watch and for that I am every thankful as Dobbs is a positive for the UT program.

I don't get all the focus of bad vibes against him - Pruitt I can understand. I am not in the least concerned with what Arkansas State does or doesn't do.

Dobbs carried the program in spite of Botch. Jones had a roster loaded with talent and did nothing with it.

I’m sure he tried hard but just was a horrible coach. It would have likely been long forgotten had he not sponged off the university with his pro Bono analyst work for Saban. And then dancing in the ashes of his ruins with those cigar pictures in Neyland.

He’s trash and I enjoy seeing him get thumped. I hope he finishes last in his conference.

He is a reflection of the program. It’s bad enough that he had a poor season last year. Add to it the way he started this season and CRYING on the sideline? They should pass the plate at this point and get him out of town. Whom ever gave him the extension needs to go too.

I mean it's Arkansas St. and they're a low mid-major but he's been terrible by their own FBS standards.

His second week didn't get much better.

After 2 games Arkansas St. has been outscored 110-3 after 2 games and has yet to score their first TD of any kind. They play Stony Brook this weeked so probably get a W but I can't imagine they keep Jones after this season unless their is some kind of massive turnaround by the end of the season.

That and tanking his last season here to get that termination buyout.

Butch, bless him, is that guy who WANTS to be something with all of his heart, but he just doesn't have it. He tries. He reads every book. He studies everything by everyone he absolutely can. But he just doesn't have the instinct. It's just not natural to him. It's not there.

I’m not sure he does. A person who has passion and wants to make something of himself does not take an intern position while sponging off another university. Also, he is extremely stubborn and thinned-skinned. A great coach is able to adapt his schemes based on what works for the talent around him. He never tried that. He made the same mistakes game after game. He never learned from his mistakes while at UT, and it’s clear at Arky State that he still hasn’t. That’s not a sign of a person who wants to achieve greatness.

I agree with most of what you said, but if someone fired me and paid me severance and I had the chance to intern with the best person in their field, I ABSOLUTELY would do that. In a heartbeat. Now it's clear he didn't learn squat, but it was a good opportunity for him. He clearly didn't learn anything, though. He just needs to do something else for a living.

He was required by the contract to look for approximate work to offset the financial hit by the university. He chose not to. He violated his contract knowing that we wouldn't peruse it bc it wouldn't be a good look. I hope you are better then that

Maybe, but it being Tennessee's biggest rival and then he turns around and joins the celebration on the sideline is just really bad. He's earned all the scorn from Tennessee fans for that stunt.

His new cliche for 2023; “Pride in Performance, Pride in Preparation”.

He clearly didn’t prepare, given the performance. Hate it for the players who are stuck with him and wasting their season/career.
Apparently, part of this is is neither new nor original. Imagine that....IMG_20230912_193151001.jpg
