Let’s not forget that the program for Kirby was a gift wrapped program that had won 9-10 games consistently over a decade by Mark Richt. If Richt had coached a majority of his tenure during the 4 team CFP he very well could’ve gotten a National title. It’s incredibly frustrating that people choose to forget that Ryan Day was given Urban Meyer’s program, that Kirby was given Richt’s program, and they think we should be having the same success given the absolute shitshow that Heupel walked into. We are far from perfect and still have strides to make before we win the national title, but the level of entitlement and lack of gratitude by some for what has been accomplished in such a small amount of time is pathetic. It always makes me laugh when someone says “well Butch beat Kirby Smart.” Its was Kirby’s first year as a HC with a true FR QB. Meanwhile we had Dobbs, Kamara, Palmer and others and it still took a miracle to win.

The first drive against UGA was outstanding, probably the best all season. We clicked on just about everything. In all honesty, Nico played very well in that game, he threw in windows on 3rd and long and extended drives multiple times. Where we lost the UGA and Ohio State games is the defense. We didn’t get any pressure on Beck or Howard, our linebackers and safeties are way too slow and were out of position on misdirection and we didn’t make any adjustments when we weren’t getting pressure. Our offense is not really good off schedule or when we are battling back from behind. The first half was the best football we played all year, in my opinion.
