It always makes me laugh when someone says “well Butch beat Kirby Smart.” Its was Kirby’s first year as a HC with a true FR QB. Meanwhile we had Dobbs, Kamara, Palmer and others and it still took a miracle to win.

Agreed, Everyone forgets it was Kirbys first year and arguably Butch's best team.

He beat Florida. According to many that's impossible no matter how bad they suck at the time. I remember people saying we would beat Nick Saban and his bunch before we'd beat the gaters.

People also said "Fire Lyle and hire anybody. Hire my grandmother, she could coach better than Lyle". That was right before we hired Pruitt.

Actually, I was on the other side of that saying I’m tired of our 15 years of misery being the Benchmark. At some point we have to look back to the glory days and not. “heupels great and I’m naming my child after him bc he’s winning more than 3 games.” However, you are correct. We all cherry pick. Everyone except me anyway.
