What is that word? Championships. We will an SEC Championship, we will win a National Chanpionship, I came here to win championships, I have won four championships in six years, championships, championships, championships.

Butch Jones is a winner and he came here to win. Erik Ainge tweeted the other day that he has had more contact with Tennessee football players since Jones has been here than he had in the past two years.

Dooley is like the Germans. Butch is like the Allies! Dooley is waiting on orders from Rommel, and Butch is handing orders to Patton!

Boom!

I don't think I recall Dooley ever saying Championships, unless he was referring to other teams

Another example of what a joke Dooley was.

"We're just not a very good football team"

Holy hell. Just because it's true doesn't mean you have to say that at the end of every practice/SEC ass whipping, coach.

Boom!

Well, to be frank, European theater allies were a collection of buffoons. Not the grunts, just their commanders. Montgomery was an egoistically and overrated jackass. American commander. Ike was overly cautious and even timid. He even drafted a letter before D-Day to pre-acknowledge the landing failure and slaughter of soldiers on the beach. Then there was Hitler stupidly overruling his generals on strategy time and again. Luck, God, the weather, and the timing of each of these elements all conspired to put circumstances in favor of Allied success.

The only real brains for the allies were Patton and Bradley. Patton was held in check too long by Ike, Montgomery, and I think to some extent by Bradley as well. Otherwise Patton would have flatten the Germans and marched right into Russia, we'd not have had the cold war if he was let loose. But he slapped a soldier in the North African campaign (or Italian campaign, I forget) so they muzzled him. Well, anyway, how this reflects on CBJ, I'm not sure you got it right.

As for DD, a shame fans can't appreciate the positives he did managed. Under him, we moved away from being Thug University. Look what happen to I think two players right after DD left. He actually upgraded our recruits and built the roster better than it had been from the late PF and LK eras. But I guess some folks just have to kick other folks when they're down. Kick again and again instead of moving on.

CBJ, welcome and I hope you bring the UT back to where it belongs. Being a terror to every team we play.

Better than "Year Zero".

But it was still a pretty good Nine Inch Nails album...maybe Dooley is such a huge fan that is why he was trying to incorporate it into his coaching vocabulary

I wonder if we had a dollar for every time the F bomb was dropped by this fanbase this past season would it be enough to pay off the national debt?

We could have definitely paid off all the money we owed in buyouts and had a surplus left in the reserves!

He also says "special" alot...I thought that would be what your thread is about.

"relentless pursuit of continuous improvement"

"that's just the way it is"

"we're a bad football team"

"players didn't execute"

I HATED the "we just didn't execute" phrase, but for the rest of them, at least Dooley was honest...Imagine the level of mockery he'd be getting now if he'd promised championships. Smart move on his part in my opinion. He didn't have championships under his belt like Jones does. That said, Jones had better eventually live up to his promises. I know, I know: "A championship attitude is the attitude we SHOULD have." Yeah, until it doesn't happen immediately like everyone thinks it should and they're calling for heads only three years down the road. Risky.

Im 100% on board with Coach Jones. But what I want to hear is that there will be no one working harder than the Tennessee Volunteers.
