You know, it’s funny, if I had his last 3 months of pay I could retire. I don’t think the universities will get this under control, but they may really need to.

Haha, he should have waited maybe Vanderbilt would have given him a shot. It would be the only way he coached in the SEC again.

He was also gift wrapped two very talented classes littered with solid legacy recruits who did an amazing job peer recruiting. A competent coach would've had those squads going to a NY6 bowl. Lets please not talk about what he did as an accomplishment. Id say 99% of D1 coaches could win 9 games with that talent.

He ****ing played us twice. Seriously, every single contract we have given to a coach since Fulmer had to be written up by the coaches themselves. That's the real reason we are in this mess and why we can't get rid of our current failure right now.

He stayed at Bama in a cush job just soaking tennessee. Why take a stressful head coaching gig when he can get paid the same without any of the responsibilities. Swim in all the cash Tennessee was paying him and smoke cigars after every one of their victories. I don’t blame him at all. Well played Butch.

I have a friend on the coaching staff. He told me that the reason JG hasn’t played the last few weeks is because Butch and Pruitt made an agreement not to play JG because he will be transferring to Arky State and didn’t want him to get hurt.

People who think he couldn’t get a head coaching gig were trying to convince themselves he was worse than he really is. He’s not an SEC caliber head coach, but at least he had a track record as a head coach somewhere. Arkansas State is a good minor conference program.

Lmao. It was JG’s freshman year that officially sank Butch’s tenure here. That would be ironic
