Let's have a little uniform lesson

Alabama - winner of 3 out of 4 NCs. Top 5 recruiting class every year. Same uniforms since Bear Bryant was a baby

Oregon- 0 NCs in history of program. Change uniforms like I change my underwear. Smells of desperation

Stfu.. You boring old blue hair.

Its too difficult for some

I wish some people would just have the cojones to come out and say they just want new uniforms. No bullcrap about recruiting or anything, because we are already doing great on the recruiting trail and the most traditional programs seem to be doing fine sticking with the same basic look they've had for ages.

And I really don't get the big deal, we're keeping basically the same look and adding an alternate, which the majority of "traditionalists" are fine with, and that's the most the biggest programs have been doing.

I seem to recall a few years ago about a 100,000 people goin nuts over black jerseys against USCjr and regardless of what we think the university will do what ever they think they can make money on and get the most publicity for the program.

I seem to recall about 100,000 people going nuts every week at Neyland over boring old orange jerseys.

Seriously this place is like a broken record.

I'd reply but I can't read what you posted. Can't find my reading glasses.

I would reply with a longer post, but my arthritis is killing me and I've been stove up for a month from all the oatmeal at the old folks home

Come by and see me sometime. I will be the one with the UT walker

I still like the traditional look, but a change for a game or two might do these guys some good. Sometimes its something like this that makes you rise up and play exceptional ball for that day and give you the confidence to keep working hard for the wins. Look at us in 2009, underdog at home versus USCe and look what the uni change did for those guys that Halloween night, a 31 - 13 boat race over USCe . They were never in that game. Heck let these guys feel good about something, don't you think they deserve that?:hi::hi:

You only change your underwear once a week?

Have you seen how some of them dress?

I blame the parents for letting them look like they don't have an ass big enough to hold up their pants. Either that, they look like they rolled in flour before they painted their hair black and punched each other in the eyes. Or they decided they wanted to have rainbow hair and look like they lost themselves in a bad Cure video

That was funny..no scarcasm...AND I was being sarcastic about my post. Not sure if you knew that...but I was being sarcastic. LOL. I was making a reference about how a poster, a teen, knew what other teens liked as uniforms.
but I like your post.

Looks like they've changed a few times since 1950 subtle changes but changes none the less.

For the umpteenth time now....hardly anyone is arguing against subtle changes. There's a Grand Canyon size difference between subtle changes and Oregon.

For all intents and purposes, Auburn's look has remained the same for a very long time.

What's left of it.. Take Alabama out of that argument and insert USC instead.. Ofcourse a team in there own league that they've RISEN ABOVE!!! Despite there "Traditional uniforms"

Give me a break

I'm sorry, but you're going to have to speak English.

This uniform battle is stupid and I don't care what bama does to theirs. If your going to jump ship over a change, then see ya. It's not our team, we're just the fans. People need to accept that we live in a society of change, flashy fashion and customization. It doesn't matter what we want. It's what the players want. And I'm glad we've got a HC who gets that.

And it's true that if a kid won't pick us cause he don't like our uniform, it's probably not the right place anyway, but if it can give us a leg up on a major recruit and energize the team and fan base, why not?

Yes, the black jerseys are why we won that night.

Good lord.

So you don't think players at Alabama would love different uniforms?

And how come we're #1 in recruiting? Because of a grey jersey?
