bUTch on Vol Calls TONIGHT!

Not much here since they stuck Coach Jones' portion of the program at the very end, following basketball coverage. Conversation between Brent Hubbs and Bob Kesling preceeded, at most, five minutes of actual dialogue between Jones and Kesling. These remarks were pre-recorded, made apparently on Friday.

Surprisingly, he commented on a three-year internship at Tampa Bay, one that began before the end of his collegiate career at Ferris State.

He reiterated his conviction that "This is the greatest venue in all of college football and the best fanbase in all of college football."

He did convey that his experience as a visiting, and losing, coach to Neyland Stadium profoundly affected him in terms of the desireability of the Tennessee head coaching posiiton.

I'm okay with a recording IF that means he is out on the recruiting. He needs to be talking to those young men, not me! Go get em coach!

So am I. I simply thought I would pass on what little content there was from the program, for the benefit of those who couldn't listen to it.

Rethinking all the times I've called my African American friends "brother". I thought I was being nice and cool, all at the same time...

This. When I read that he was going to be on tonight...I was amazed that he had the stamina to interview Tee (perhaps one of his most important early moves as a HC), take a recruiting trip to Nashville to do the musical living room game....and then call into to a show where he would have to be sharp enough to answer questions from an overly hyper fan base. Yikes...

Probably stayed over in Nashville or was on the road. Recruiting is far more important IMO than Vol Calls!

How dare you. Eating some que from Calhouns across the table from Kesling is a right of passage for a coach. If he burps, it means he is all in on the hire.

Rumor here on VN was that as soon as Tee left CBJ headed to Nashville to start recruiting in person while he could legally still do that.

Recruiting is far more important than a dumb radio show IMO.

OK coach, get on over to Beech High School and talk to Mr. Heard and if he's too tall to be a good SEC type RB then maybe he can become a beast at the WR position.

VFL...GBO!!!
