Butch on Worley not running.

Here is the bottom line...when your QB gets laid out on his back 14 times in a game...you do not test fate and let him run.
All of you hollering about worley running it more, would be the same people trying to condemn the man for letting worley get hurt.

You all really need to stop your hindsight Sunday morning QB krap and just sit back and enjoy a season where the vols have a good chance of being much better then anyone would think before the season started....just sayin

So letting him sit in the pocket to get hit 14 times is the lesser of two evils?

I see.

I guess it hurts less to get blind sided than to get outside the tackles and possibly make a play on a designed roll out pass or get to the sidelines.

This scheme doesn't fit the talent and the talent doesn't fit the scheme IMO.

And its compounded by the shoddy O line play.

Worley in a Chaney style offense would be a much better fit but it is what it is.

Worley is scared to death of being hit, and I can't blame him, OU flattened him every snap. The deer in the headlights look said it all, but there are a lot of plays when he can run. More so in the 3rd and 4th quarters, the dline is so cued in on the rb a simple fake would burn them.

This is BS, plain and simple. The guy stood tall and took his shots a couple of weeks ago.

He isn't an effective runner from what I have seen but to question his toughness at this point is beyond stupid.

I would rather us call another running play if the QB is not an option there, because it is the only reason that running out of that set makes sense.

I think if Butch would take time out of his recruiting and game prep and read volnation more, he would be able to fix the offense.
By now he wouldve had Worley run it 10 or 12 times, revoked Crooms scholarship, never let Riley Ferguson go, moved Jalen Hurd to QB to throw to Josh Malone every single play.

His loss.

By reading some of the posts on here I assumed CBJ was a regular poster on this forum.
