Another Fergy fan (nothing wrong with it).

My question is, do you think he wins it because he's the only one you can guarantee hasn't proven he is bad? Lol

A QB has to have a "I won't let you beat me" mentality to really succeed. I didn't see that in 117, if Fergie don't play that way, QB play is going to cost us greatly in 118. In a little defense of the QB play, the OL got bullied a lot and that isn't helpful at all.

I know a lot of folks are down on Peterman, but I personally think he could have a break out season. Why? Cause he wasn't garbage in HS. He was the 6A Player of the year. That says a LOT considering all the talent in Florida. His tape shows him with good pocket presence, decent mobility and a good arm. Remember, CBJ tried to recruit him at Cincinnati, so he's not a DD leftover.

It just seems like, to me, that he had major trouble adjusting to the speed of the game. You could see that in Dobbs, too. It comes with time. With that said, I think Worley is going to have to step his game up, or I suspect he'll fall down the depth chart by the end of spring workouts and end up transferring out.

Maybe we will get lucky and CBJ can get setteled on a qb and not make idiot decisions to constantly change qb's right before a big game.

I think those who keep naming Ferguson "the guy" based on nothing more than scattered practice reports are so annoying that they make it hard not to dislike "the guy" for no good reason at all.

16 yards passing against vandys 2nd and 3rd team DBS make me like ferguson a hell of a lot!!!!!!

Dobbs will get better. I think it comes down to Dobbs versus Ferguson. Dobbs will be a better run threat while Ferguson will be the better passer.

For me, the question will be can Fergie get it done on the ground when he needs to. He doesn't have to be Manziel or Marriotta. Just be Shaw or Wallace and pick up 6-8 yards consistently and we will have a steady offense. By 2015 we could have a great offense if the OL really progresses. We will be tough at the skill posistions.

Yeah.....everyone was calling to bench Worley for lack of production.....bouncing balls of the field.....needing a ladder to jump off to catch the high over throws....yeah bring on Peterman Worley sucks.....then he chokes and bring on Dobbs and Butch is an idiot...blah blah....let the man run his damn team.

Just dont see where the improvement was in Worley when he got hurt. He played a decent second half against a depleated GA. In the SCe game most of his yards came on a few passes to North that he bailed out Worley on, and 2 could have been intercepted. He did nothing against Ala before getting hurt. Keep hearing about his improvement and there wasnt much. He did nothing the first half against GA and outside of the unreal catch by North nothing in the 2nd half against SCe. And definitely nothing in the first half against Ala before he got knocked out. If Worley is our starter come sept we got problems. Hoping like hell Riley lives up to the hype and wins it.

You must not have been looking hard enough then. Worley did not turn the ball over in the Georgia or SC games. That's improvement. He was gaining confidence and was feeling better with the offense. By the way UGAs defense was not depleted, just their offense. If Worley had not gotten hurt the Auburn, Bama and Mizzou games would have been more competitive. We would have easily beaten Vandy and went to a bowl game.

Sounds like Dobbs will enter spring as 1A, regardless. Maybe this is just a partial quote, but he's the only qb mentioned with anybody having a chance to take the job. Considering Riley has yet to take a snap in college, we'll have to see.

Riley = Rod... no snaps required.

If there's one thing I really hate, it's those subliminal messages! :birgits_giggle:

Some of y'all are way too defensive about your favorite. How many times must it be said that anyone can burn it up in camp and win the job? And yet if it's not a bandwagonesque flag-waving endorsement of your fave some folks get upset. SMDH.

Although I'd have preferred Jones picking a starter a bit earlier last season as the poster above said 'let the man run his team.'

It's exactly why you don't choose a favorite. You love them all and put the best one in.
