I wasn't talking about away games. Vols wear predominantly white helmets and often predominantly white pants at home.

White pants or helmets don't make the overall uniforms predominantly white if jerseys are orange.
The gray crowd does not understand the meaning of PREDOMINANTLY ORANGE (conveniently ignoring or don't have the dictionary handy?).
I disagree. But the point is missed. Some say that having a uniform that is predominantly white is only okay because of the NCAA rules regarding home/away games. The same people have not raised a voice about the predominantly white helmets, which often stands alone as the symbol for Tennessee football (e.g. helmet schedules). The same people will rarely mention the white pants. Why would Tennessee ever choose to wear white pants at home? According to the logic and philosophies of the anti-gray, there is no reason; but I don't hear anyone crying about that?
I'm happy to cry about that for you - I agree with the part of your post that's in bold.
Should be all predominantly orange (especially helmets when used as standalone symbol of UT football).
I can appreciate you, sir. You, at least, are logically consistent. But there are many in your corner that aren't.
I am asking because I am very ignorant, but where does the phrase "predominantly orange" come from? What is the reason that you believe the uniforms are supposed to be predominantly orange? I just don't understand where that idea comes from???
