What is the allure to Colorado State? I figured Butch would stay in the South, even if it was a smaller school.

If I was him, I'd look back to the upper Midwest where he came from and had mid-major coaching success, but Colorado St would be a pretty good landing spot for him.

Butch was a clown. I remember him running the read option.....with Justin Worley. There was no option it was a handoff every freaking time

I remember people defending it and I never understood that. I'm not going to pretend like I know a damn thing about football from a technical perspective, but what was even the point of that wasted motion? All it did was increase the possibility of a botched handoff and give defenses slightly longer to get penetration and stop the ball carrier. It also interfered with the RBs head of steam before taking the handoff.

I get that it works with a mobile QB, or even an athletic QB, but Worley wasn't a threat to keep the ball, and in fact he kept it, what, 5-6 times in total?
