Chad Morris also has a 4 star QB son who has decommited from Arky. Have a feeling he will now end up at Auburn do pretty easy to connect the dots here.

Even Dooley got a job. Apparently UT managed to hire a guy no one else will.

Oddly, Lyle is likely the only person who doesn’t realize that the only reason Saban has him there is a dig at UT. Butch is too stupid to realize he’s the punchline of the joke.

I think we’ve all heard stuff about Butch, but I never could discern what was real or what was sensationalized . I’ve heard some about the injury or the mistreatment of players, but I never heard anything about the woman in the AD. If you can elaborate, what’s the story with that?

Towards the end of his time here when stories came out about Hurd came out along with other players. An unnamed woman came forward and told Davenport about how Jones had made inappropriate comments to the point she felt uncomfortable almost like he’s coming onto her. Later it came out that he would follow her around campus to the point she had to change her route to avoid him.

It’s posted on here somewhere. That’s the gist of it though.

I don’t like Dooley. So I’ll say that first but Dooley can run a somewhat consistent offense. Dooley was smart enough to let his assistants do what they were paid for. Dooley didn’t wait til his back was against the wall to let Shoop call a defense that saved his job. If that last sentence is wrong please prove me wrong. Dooley is smarter than Jones in the end and that’s not saying much.

He’s trying by meeting the requirements outlined in his payment agreement. It’s not helping us that Universities are doing their HW and realizing what kind of person he is

It sounds crazy given Morris's record at Arky, but the dude has a much better reputation in football circles than Butch does. Chad Morris, on a tactical level, knows how to run and coach explosive offenses and had successful stints as OC at Clemson and HC at SMU. He has a clear core competency, so to speak. Plus Gus and Chad Morris are personal friends.

In contrast, what specifically is Butch good at? Recruiting? It certainly isn't anything at a tactical level.

The world found out who Butch Jones is in 2017. He took a program that had never lost 8 games in a season to 8 loses. He did someone no other coach could do.

I would think that he is trying. The longer he stays away from a better job, the more difficult it is going to be to get a better job, and the Big Orange gravy train runs out for him in a year or so no matter what happens.

He's "trying" in terms of throwing his name in the hat for jobs, which is enough for him to hold up the terms of his buyout. As long as that buyout check keeps rolling in, I don't think he'll accept another job. Once the buyout is over, I could see him being an OC or maybe a HC at a mid-major or something like that.

I hadn’t heard that. Thanks for the explanation. If that truly was the case, what kind of a moron follows around a woman period, let alone driving a $230K Mercedes? Knoxville isn’t exactly Jupiter Island, people are going to notice that kind of car on campus. There’s a chip dip joke to make here, but I’ll steer clear.

I don’t believe Jones is as smart as he claims to be. I believe he puts up a really good front to people who aren’t aware or don’t do there hw but that seems to have caught up witn him a bit. The last job he went for sited Character flaws. Whether it’s true or not it’s not a good look if Saban can right your wrongs as an analyst
