you need to understand that first and foremost this is a Tennessee board. You being on this board means you accept a certain amount of flack, it is what it is. If you cant be civil go home.

I expect a certain amount of flack...it comes with the territory.

But I'm not sure what I did here that was uncivil. Sab makes the claim that UT could easily pass UF in recruiting this year. I find that a little hard to believe, call it the way I see it and say it will take a miracle for that to happen.

Where's the foul?

Okay. What the heck is up today? Is there an eclipse or something? Why do I keep getting quoted as saying things that I never said?

Yes, it is possible that we could pass Florida in the rankings this year. Is it likely? No. No it's not likely. So now that you understand my stance on this, please refrain from attaching my name to things which I never said. :shaking2:

So you think TN will pass FL, Marve and Newton will help attract high school recruits, Hendrix sucks, and Kevin Scott is a god?

No miracle needed. UF is pretty loaded. UT offers the chance to play early for coaches that have NFL experience. Kiffin assembled a staff with great prior recruiting success... and UT has plenty to sell. For some kids, getting out of FL or GA or SC or CA or PA or OH is a plus. With those kids, moving to the Smokies and playing in one of the top 5 stadiums in the nation has some attraction.

Make no mistake. UT does have significant disadvantages considering the homestate talent and Memphis being so far away. OTOH, it is less than a 6 hour drive from most of the talent in NC, SC, GA, and AL. They can and I think will make a serious effort in the ATL area. GA HS football quality rivals any in the nation and it isn't much further from ATL to K'ville as it is Athens.
