'19 CA ATH/WR Horace "Bru" McCoy (Tennessee commit)

Has anyone seen what kind of shape this guy is in? I’ve haven’t seen anything recently but he was looking to be TE sized the last time I saw a picture, and not in a good way.

Some time in the weight room, and a few less brus on the weekend, he should be back to looking like the real McCoy in no time.

Does this staff really want him? I know there are rumors floating about, but the off-field issues seem like something this staff tends to avoid. It kind of flies against the culture this staff is building. But I guess we'll see.

i would think so. Couple guys on staff already know him too. Guess we'll see.

Some of you have asked about Bru McCoy and the Southern Cal transfer is certainly one that we believe Tennessee has interest in still. He was unable to get his situation resolved to clear a path to transfer before the drop/add deadline in January. If things get cleared up we believe Tennessee will be right at the top of his list for a post-spring transfer.

My assumption is that it has to do with his suspension from USC and trying to make sure everything is in a good academic standing to transfer and transfer credits to be eligible academically

In my not so professional opinion I think he would instantly upgrade our passing game. Big athlete that Heupel could move around to get the ball in his hands

If you have enough of the right guys in the building (sounds like Hooker and Tillman are two of those, I'm sure there's others I don't know of), you can take a chance on guys like this.
