'19 CA ATH/WR Horace "Bru" McCoy (Tennessee commit)

I wonder if AP could be out in Cali to possibly film a commitment video with McCoy. The Nico info could be the cover AP needs to slip this one under the rug. Of course, more convo with Nico wouldn't be a bad thing. But a McCoy commitment would be newsworthy.
Transfers don't usually shoot videos afaik.

I doubt Hubbs is paying to fly him all the way out there and back for a commitment video of a transfer WR.
I know people are trying to make it out to be more than it is, but I think AP is literally just in Cali to go to Disney World with his family lol. I don’t think he is using subterfuge.

Fair points. I don't want to believe that AP would troll on purpose, but I think the Nico buzz is too much at the moment. Possibly my BVS kicking in.

Why would anyone in the south decide to fly out to California for a Disney trip instead of just going to Orlando? Unless he's got family out there and wants to knock out two things in one trip...I have a hard time seeing it.

For one, there are actually other things to do in LA, especially for the adults. You can literally catch an A-list stand up comedian or band any night of the week there. The food culture is amazing too. As is the weather. LA is more of a well rounded trip. Orlando is just for the kids...Disney crap. That would be my excuse anyway...

I think he's flying his family to Disney then he's going to sneak away and film the commitment video and use his family as cover.

Depending on the age of his kids…. He is not seeing comedians…. Bands…. or much culture….. I bet it is a business trip being partially financed by VQ and he is taking that opportunity to take his kids to Disney.

Lol...Orlando is not "just for the kids"..

LA is the most disgusting place I have ever been...it is a giant homeless shanty town/garbage dump with a few awesome ritzy enclaves scattered about.

The answer is that he's a Disney freak

Well then...clearly know now I'll be leaving my kids with grandma 😅 That's a vacation too...

Lol sure what a shanty town...with absurdly expensive housing and insane economy...those are the small areas/skid row and such. Maybe you were downtown? Idk, it definitely depends on area and that county is HUGE. It is very much a suburban hell, much like Atlanta. But the areas toward the ocean outside of downtown are fantastic.

I've been throughout plenty of areas, granted mostly west or north. Beautiful weather...stucco architecture...and your waitress is always an 11. Granted, always staying with my sister. Nice parts of town, but have been to quite a few areas...Venice, the south bay whatever beaches...hollister, etc...lovely places. The cliffs, west holllywood is meh and overrated, but not bad...grungy I'd say...la brea is pretty nice...got a 2nd cousin in studio city, way out but nice too...sister was in Century City a few years, also pretty. Overall beautiful area, houses, top notch food culture...other culture kinda sucks tho jmo lots of clout chasers and wannabes...but the average person is really nice and low crime out there (compared to southeast ofc...we have terrible crime rates unfortunately).

Can't speak much for east/south...just havent been there, but drove out east past the county. The drive out past palm springs was pretty. Lots of beautiful nature in the area for sure.

Orlando is a small/medium town. You just aren't going to go see a lineup of 5 professional comedians, followed by a surprise showing of Dane Cook (ok, ugh) and Judd Apatow and Tom Arnold on a Tuesday night. Or catch an S-tier band at the greek or bowl on any day of the week. The entertainment possibilities are just on another scale. Same as NYC. Those 2 are next level for vacations if you want entertainment.

Beautiful, so is Compton, Inglewood, pretty much all of South LA, Hollywood Blvd, downtown. But I agree, there are really nice areas, the weather is the best and beaches too (but water sucks)

I have two adult friends that are…. They go two to three times a year….kids are grown.
Actually I have had one run-in with one of these types before. I used to have a boss that went multiple times a year. She probably spent 10k a year just to go with her aunt or some other family member. She was at least 30 years old...all I could think is must have been a case of arrested development. All I could conjure up in response was

Never been there. Every city has its bad areas no doubt. Manhattan is beautiful. But who goes to the south bronx? Or visit knoxville just to go to Mechanicsville or East or South ktown?

All I can say speak to is about half of the area and it is beautiful. Nature, buildings, and women.

Ive had a blast everytime Ive been to LA. Just like you said, every city has its ugly side. LA just happens to have far more beauty than most.

We drove all over the place for two days...the freeways were nothing but linear garbage dump homeless encampments. It grossed me out, but there were some glitzy enclaves too.

LA just had a weird vibe to me...like civilization on the precipice of collapse.
