'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

Honestly, I don't think he's better than Quavo Crouch or JJ Peterson, so I'm not sure he'd have seen the field much anyway. I did want this kid, but we have bigger needs imo. Russell will do fine. We need to go after Eason and French out at Whitehaven hard for '20.

Since he may end up at Bama , this is what you are going with ? I knew it was coming but its usually after they commit .

Ignore the fact that I said I did want the kid.

But he's gonna play ahead of Bituli, DK, Ignont, JJP, and Crouch? If there's one place we have a ton of talent...

Our LBs are slow. If we want to win again and beat good teams we have to land kids like this. Yea, we signed Crouch, and that was huge. Yea, JJ was solid last year, but we have no talent at LB outside those two guys and Bituli. DKjr is slow. Ignont is a 2 down backup MLB. Banks is a RB that we are moving to LB because the kid likes to hit people, but he probably needs a year or two to learn the position. Facts are, we need about 5-6 more big, fast LBs. So, losing this kid to Bama while they sign 30 f-ing players just as talented as this kid just goes to show you how far we are from being relevant again. We have to beg to land these kids right now because of the crap product we have put on the field over the last decade, and it’s not going to be much better come 2019. Pruitt knows this and that’s why he’s going to make whatever changes he has to to bring elite recruiters here. We have to land kids like this. Its the only way we will be relevant anytime soon

Bituli No for sure
DK doubtful at start of season but probably by midseason.
Ignont, JJP, and Crouch are relative unknowns and he could come in and play ahead of them.

We need help at LB big time.

No doubt. It’s not even about starting. We need a two deep filled with dudes who actually belong in the SEC. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to our players, but our front seven is not very good. If you have high quality talent, you will play here early.

LOL, Wut?!?

This kid is ELITE. Would have seen the field early and often. Every bit the player JJP is on film.

MUCH MUCH MUCH better prospect than Russell....

I'm not gonna get bent out of shape if we lose a kid to Bama. We're not 2-3 years away from being on their level, we're a Saban retirement away. Just are. Yes, our speed at LB was a concern last year, but also our DL was not disruptive, we still have no true space-eating NT, and our pass rush was sorely lacking. Anyway, I'm not sure Henry is such a burner himself. I'm much more concerned w/ locking down the talent within 50 miles of freakin' Knoxville, building an orange wall around middle TN, and prioritizing Memphis than I am if a California kid picks the best program in the country over us.

We’re a Saban retirement away from another coaching search...

I really want this kid to be a Vol. But, I have to say that the only full game I saw Toot play was on espn2 and he looked a lot better in that game at RB. We all know he is not a P5 RB, so I don't know what that means other than I was more impressed with him as an athlete than a LB. See, I already have a good excuse if he goes to Bama

If it were that simple we wouldn't have stood a chance at all.

The depth chart is better here. The relationships are better here. The better DC is here.
Who said relationships are better? Take the orange glasses off broski. Our best chance is last in-home. Tua and Taulia aren't to be understated. I say those relations and Saban's track record outweigh any CB's.

Defensive player of the year in California but, he aight.

How can you tell? On his film he rarely has to shed a block and run line to line. Mostly unabated shots at the qb. You gonna tell me this kid is a 4.5 guy? I doubt it. I'd say 4.7ish is more likely. But hell, you're the scout. You should be on staff. My humble opinion is that all those stars you count in between To'oto'o and Russell in reality represent not a huge difference in ability.

You’re blind if you can’t see the difference between To’ & Russell.

But we already knew that, seeing as how you’re throwing DK out there as part of our great LB talent on campus....

Lol. We dont have a bunch of LB talent.

All those guys are talented, no? Ignont the one possible exception. Bituli probably our 2nd or 3rd best defender last year. Crouch and Peterson obviously haven't had the chance to put it together yet. I will gladly eat crow if Henry ends up at Bama and is dominant, but I really don't see it. Better DL play and pass rush are crucial and w/o it the best of guys can look bad sometimes.

Our linebackers weren’t a strength last year. We have some solid pieces but we need the truly elite guys like to’oto’o. He would see the field in the first game and by the end of the season he could be starting. Imo we don’t need “fine” we need great.

That talent didn’t show up last year. They were inconsistent. Kirkland looked a step slow. Bituli and Taylor were great at times and suspect at others. We have no clue how good jj and crouch are gonna be but to say that a guy playing against some of the best talent in the country couldn’t compete here is asinine.

So in your opinion he's definitively better than Crouch and Peterson? You and 85 tell me, what does he do that's elite? Not being a smarta$$, I genuinely want to know.
