'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

Saban did not like what he saw all season and cleaned house in the off season. Just look at the analyst he is bringing to fill off field roles like Mike Stoops and possibly Major Applewhite along with all the new staff members. But my point it does not matter who was the DC as CU's offense had more talent then our D and we were exposed. No different in 2014 when OSU and Meyer did the same. Even UGA and OU had better talent in the matchup of their O vs our D. The difference in those games there was a greater gap on the reverse side. CU they had the advantage on both sides of the ball.
If he didn’t like what he saw, maybe he should look in the mirror.

Ha Ha, this is the epidemy of how delusional bama fans are... SMH... So he "cleaned house" of the staff he hired in the first place? Sounds like he can't hire the right folks then right? It would never be that he's a grade A 'ish hole and coaches got the chance to move on and bolt...

Pretty sure we don't have any right to call any fan base delusional. Honestly the bammers have been some of the most down to earth I've met. Even Florida. Georgia fans are obnoxious but they have been on the grasp of being really elite for a long time but can't get over the hump cause Sabans been in the way so I can understand them. Between this forum and living and working in Tennessee I see how we've been ranked the most delusional fan base before. Off season champions every year!

Not been my experience with AL fans. But I'm thinking delusion is in the job description of being a fan.

Cleaned House and Retained Butch. That is an oxymoron. Sounds more like staff had a chance to state I am outta here and bolted. But most Alabama fans will claim he is cleaning house.
If he is cleaning house, it seems odd that over the past years he is getting rid of the Good ones vs the Bad...

Sorry Excuse for departures.

So you are comparing Saban to Meyer now....Oh boy you really are desperate.
Yeah like mopping up the kitchen floor and leaving a dog turd in the middle of it.

...... Hold the **** up...

Is this not the same team the media was pumped up as the best college team of all time mid-season?

While Clemson was struggling against Syracuse (again, lol), Late in the season (amidst this supposed myriad of injuries ) Alabama was smashing LSU 29-0, Miss State 24-0 .... blew bitter rival Auburn out, took care of Georgia in the only game that was a challenge all season... steamrolled Oklahoma, (though you wouldn't know they never had a chance looking at the final score, it was over by halftime)...

Going into Clemson, media STILL saying Alabama "may be the best college football team ever, just have to make it through Clemson".... as almost a touchdown favorite... which is kind of absurd for a national championship game.

Where do you people come up with this? You do realize what board you're on right? You can go on back to a shoulder that gives a **** to cry about this garbage...

Alabama could have had 10 guys hurt and still had a higher team composite rating than Clemson. You're not gonna get any sympathy here for not being able to find 11 people out of 63 4★-5★ recruits to play defense. Seriously... is this what some Alabama reporter spoon fed you guys? And you believed it?????

Alabama got smacked in the mouth early. They didn't come to play football against a team that was good enough to beat them. Clemson was amped for that game... Alabama wasn't... there's no giant talent disparity (well, there might actually be, but it sure as hell isn't in Clemson's favor lol) and injuries didn't "screw you". Alabama showed up flat, Clemson showed up ready, Clemson embarrassed Alabama on national TV... end of that ********

As for Saban "cleaning house because he didn't like what he saw".... lol

He didn't clean house... the coaches left because they were offered better gigs and he's an ******* to work for... just like the coaches before those and the coaches before those... no head coach in his right mind is going to throw away Tosh Lupoi, probably the best recruiter in Alabama history, because they didn't like his defensive calls in one game. Saban's an ******* that wins... but he's still an ******* ;)

You people lol... bless your little hearts

Come on sunshine you can do better then this. Always loved people that like to manipulate numbers. I guess UA having only 2 5 stars that were starters and upperclassman equals CU having what 6 or 7. So now experience has no value. Keep rolling you are hot now. Hell the meat of their D was 4 & 5 stars that were upper classmen. Again lets not mess up your narrative here you are on a roll.

And since you want to point out Saban I am sure he would take 2 of what 5 returning starters or experienced returners on D and say hey pretend to have injuries we do not need you late in the season. I guess in your mind this makes sense.

But I will no longer digress with you as this is a recruiting thread and I am sure you have more to preach. So enjoy the pulpit and by the way you did not see me crying or complaining. We got outplayed this year and it is what it is. Not the end of the world. But you may need a tissue because you really seemed worked up.:)

He had several position coaches leave for worse jobs. If Im a grown man Im not going to be screamed, cussed at, and treated like **** by my boss.

Which coaches? I know one left for the NFL in the same capacity(Tosh), Locks became a HC so a promotion. Enos & Gattis got promotions as well to OC. With the exception of Brent Key who did take a lateral position but to his old Alma Mater. Enos was the big loss in all this just based on well Hurts improved.

For the ones commenting about B Jones sitting in the box why not it is free since UT is still paying his salary through the buyout. Seems like a no brainer

It wasn't upperclassmen 5 stars that were ripping you guys a new *******.... it was that freshman

These position coaches make 6 figure salaries and can switch jobs very easily and make a 6 figure salary. Totally different scenario.

It was on D though that shut down what the media said was the greatest offense ever at UA and under Saban. On O we looked like a FBS team out there playing with 7 a side vs them with 11. The media was calling our team the GOAT all season because of Tua and the offense. Had nothing to do with the defense.

If I'm not mistaken, Tosh left a DC position for a defensive line coach position. Maybe it's just me but I don't consider that a step up.

All sorts of Stockholm syndrome in this post.

I find myself laughing more at this dudes cash of signs than his urban voodoo dance....

I was taken it as a step up because he went from college to the NFL. Either way it was one of our worst defense since 07 according to the numbers. Several of the guys though went from 6 figures to 7 figures

If I'm not mistaken, Tosh left a DC position for a defensive line coach position. Maybe it's just me but I don't consider that a step up.
Tosh was struggling at DC. If he had stayed he'd have been demoted to OLB or DL coach. It made sense for him to make a move and get some more experience. The NFL was good option and Saban was helping him get a new gig. Saban also wanted to make RB, OL and DL position coach changes, which he has done. He does a pretty good job of making changes without firing guys, burning bridges or damaging relationships.

It didn't matter who was playing. Tosh was a bad DC. Almost like he tried to lose the NCG. Guys we're constantly out of position. That's on coaching too
