You’re forgetting about the guys ahead of us, several which have more spots to fill. For example, Ohio State only has 16 commits right now, Auburn 17 and Penn State 18....all three schools are 3-5 spots ahead of us currently with more potential to go higher. If we can somehow sneak into the top 10-12, it’d be a good finish. Top 5 is completely out of the question.Just adding those two puts us at 273.49 on the composite. That's currently 8th, would've been 10th last year. Chaney has a relationship with Pickens. That helps us. VQ said LSU is out. It's either us or AU. So if Pickens comes, that moves us to 281.91. That's currently 6th, would've been 8th last year. So if we want top 5, we'll have to get more than just those three, but top 10 class is very likely with the 2, get all three and it will be a top 10 class for sure. I'm not sure what happens with Cox and Harris so that makes it hard to know exactly where we'll be.
Everyone isn't signing 25 guys. And there's not a lot of high caliber guys left... in a perfect world, we can get a top 5 class: bogle, moore, toot, Wright, Pickens. You’re forgetting about the guys ahead of us, several which have more spots to fill. Finished with the 4th class in the country in 2015. We’re not sniffing the 4th class this year no matter who we finish with.I'm glad you think so, because I'm having doubts. I really really hope you're right, though! This would be the best class we've brought in since the Fulmer era, if we land him and Wright to finish things off. Jmo
We’re likely not signing 25 either, and the teams I just listed surely aren’t finished with 16-18 players in this class. This I can tell ya (Trump voice).Everyone isn't signing 25 guys. Lol if you say so... we will seeWe’re likely not signing 25 either, and the teams I just listed surely aren’t finished with 16-18 players in this class. This I can tell ya (Trump voice).
And there ain’t no such thing as a perfect world if you think we’re getting all those guys. Wright and Moore are likely the only 2 of those we get. We’re not sniffing a top 5 class...top 10 would be a great finish.
Thats rivalsSomeone on this forum once posted that the rankings only consider your top 20 recruits. Is that true? If so, and we really did sign those high-star players, our ranking could increase dramatically.
That said, I don't really care where we finish (as long as it's better than Florida)... class is looking good imo.
Look at 247 sports and look at how many players from the school you listed are being considered by a player in the top 250. Only one and that's auburn. Now if Auburn loses out on Moore or loses Pickens they all the sudden are likely finishing lower then us assuming we get Wright. So none of the three teams you mentioned are actually very likely to stay ahead of us if we pull even just Wright and Toots. It's all about how these kids factor into 247's equation. I will say this I don't think we finish top 5 but it has more to do with how much ground we have to make up rather than the teams close to us. Also not trying to come off as a dick just want you to know where we are at.You’re forgetting about the guys ahead of us, several which have more spots to fill. I don’t think we finish top 5 either, but if we pull a big surprise or something you never know. That class had 30 signees.Finished with the 4th class in the country in 2015. We’re not sniffing the 4th class this year no matter who we finish with.
It’s an excellent class in spots (OL), while being very good in others (TE, QB, DB), while lacking in others (DL, rush end/OLB, and LB). We’ll see how we finish.
