This aged well and and his like was from no other than the @Incredible_duck
Spyre be likeFunny, she waited until after he committed to make a comment. But I don't see where she expressed this opinion when the story first broke. Maybe she did and I missed it.
Her entire argument is that the contract is inducement, yet as has been discussed ad nauseam, it's specifically written to not be an inducement.
A later comment she says an AD told her "we can build an entire roster with $200k NIL deals" rather than give one kid $8M.
And to that I say - and you didn't get Nico.
He cancelled his UGA visit and Saban’s rant notifies us that he passed on Tuscaloosa also. He’s already visited Oregon and Miami. I think he’s done and will concentrate on peer recruiting. He's still taking his visits but I'm not worried at all. This kid is as committed and one can be. You can relax Hoss. He bleeds orange
I love Heupel but the lion's share of the credit for this one has got to go to Spyre and the Tennessee fanbase, who stepped up big time with $ 19.51. It wouldn't have worked if we looked like @$$ last year, but we just fired an 8 million dollar shot across everyone's bow thanks to boosters and fans and none of our rivals could do a damn thing about it.And Josh Heupel got him to commit. Not Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, Jones, or Pruitt.
Believe recruiting will be just fine now. Heupel realizes that to compete, UT has to recruit like hell.
I mean, we talk southern, and why use one syllable for a word when three will work. But this is a whole new ballgame. lolWhelp. I hope the boys will forgive us because this is gonna be hard. There are extra vowels in there without a hard consonant and more vowels oh my! That's going to take my English speaking brain a while to grasp and I'm usually pretty good with languages. I have a feeling the best most of us are going to be able to muster is a much more Anglicized way of saying their names because the way they say it is a lot different than the way I've heard others say it.
I am excited about this commit but I worry about where this NIL stuff is headed across college football. You can't provide top deals to all the top prospects. It will surprise some of you when guys start looking at who got what and it influences their decisions. On the surface a commit like this would've had us on the top of the board of the top WR, and it still may but if they expect deals in this ball park then possibly not.
