‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

I have heard several interesting "incentives" in regard to Nico's NIL deal. Not sure if they are 100% accurate, but if they are.....expect some booms down the road.....;)
I never thought about the fact that Spyre could provide "Incentives" for "referrals to Spyre." But that makes total sense.

I don’t understand why some of you all are so concerned with how much he’s getting paid. For the most part, it’s not even your money. Just be happy he’s a Vol
Agree 100%. Most of the folks in here have spent the last decade complaining that we need better bag men. That we're getting outbid for the big time recruits. That we're letting the likes of Georgia and the Gumps outbid us. Now all of a sudden we're pulling big fish and doing it legally to boot and people are upset about it? WTF. I don't care how much Spyre paid him. It was a big boy move. A statement move that's going to pique a ton of interest from other top recruits. The recruiting flood gates are about to open for UT and people are mad about it? Be happy for the Nico and be happy for Vol football.

The problem is those people don't won't to get out bid but they don't also won't to know how much it takes to get 5* qb talent on campus.

For heavens sake, why are some of you still discussing his contract?

Why not just be happy for the kid instead of wondering how he’s going to get his money?

Not just this guy but like most have already mentioned look around and see what he’s done for Tennessee as a program already. Getting guys to look at Tennessee again. Wanting guys who he can reach goals with not just taking what he’s given. The potential of Hypes offense having an insane amount of firepower really soon is pretty high.

Buckle up.
We’ll see.

Yup. Tennessee is trending big time with these kids. This class is going to be so much fun to follow.

Talent begets talent. You get one huge big time guy with a leadership mentality and a great personality like Nico and others will line up to follow him. Plus, Heupel's team wowed the family and knock their visit out of the park. This class has the potential to be program altering for us. Excuse me while I buckle up so as to better enjoy the ride.

Lmao we are paying 8mil for a QB that we have no idea if they will pan out or not. Look at all the top rated QB’s over the last 5-10 years. How many of them are major contributors? Odds aren’t in our favor.

Also.. not sure we can give the staff much credit for this. Spyre is the one making this happen not the staff. It’s not like they convinced a top rated QB to come here for free. This commit was bought not earned. Had another school stepped up to the plate with that kind of money would he still have chose us?
You're just a bundle of joy ain't you

Finally got a minute for a quick look, and the first thing I saw was Tennessee commit then who! Then over 200 pages behind. About 4 hours later I got to page 215 lol. It was fun riding that roller coaster! Like digging for gold to get through the mud for those nice nuggets of good news! I am thrilled to get a player rated this high with the potential to change the program. And I am not wasting a second on possibilities of how many things could possibly go wrong. Because you have to start getting players like this to get other players like this. And the more you get the better your team gets. It was funny reading all the posts about how we would not get him knowing that we would.
Welcome back girl----are you having a tough time sleeping-----posting at 3AM :):):)

Because we can't let these kids earn their worth 😂

I mean, a garbage coach like Pruitt can get PAID With no strings attached and most of it not being inventive-based. Only not paid once strictly breaking clauses.

Even some of the folks that agree with him getting paid to some degree seem to want to be sure it's incentive-based. Weird. I don't remember most NFL contracts like that. Coaches aren't. It's the risk/reward of sport contracts. Why do only these young guys NEED to be paid on incentives...it's all quite sus iyam

I mean....Bryce Brown was the #1 player in the country when he committed. Eric Berry and Kahlil McKenzie were both rated higher technically.

HOWEVER, did this player come at the time when we MOST needed something like this? Yes. And THAT is what sets this commitment off as special right now. After all of the investigation, after all of the transfers, after all of the turnover.....to come in and land this awesome of a prospect so early in the game?

That is absolutely huge. We have had "higher rated" recruits. But we have NEEDED this to set our program back on the right track.

It's nice to feel more like my "hopeful" self again.

GBO.
I mean he's the biggest QB recruit we've had and QB is the most important position in sports. A truly elite QB can change the entire trajectory of a program. Make no mistake this is the biggest commitment we've had in decades no hyperbole.

What’s wrong with that perception? Recruits will look at that and be interested. It creates buzz for a program that has been essentially dead in elite level SEC recruiting.
`Yup, we are the talk of the CFB NIL. We are being mentioned with TAMU now and just signed the most elite class in CFB history. We haven't been in a spot this good in decades. It's an amazing time to be a VOL
