‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Price says FICTION and then spends the entire rest of the post explaining why Tennessee DOES in fact seem to have an edge right now. He points out, as common sense would dictate, that nothing is even close to a done deal. But the question was not whether it was a done deal. Just if UT had a slight edge right now.
It did come off a bit odd, but to be fair his FICTION take and following comments aren't exclusive either, logically speaking.

You can take each part of what he says, without believing there is a percentage edge for us. Maybe he thinks it's something like Oregon and UT 35%/35% and the other 2 (plus randos) taking up the other 30%. That would constitute a "real threat" and a majority percentage going to SEC teams, regarding the "prefer to play in the SEC"...without there being an edge for us at the moment.

You'd think he has as good of a feeling of this kid's situation as anyone among the recruiting arena. It seems he is telling people to not go overboard just yet. And that seems pretty darn rational in a 4-way race. It's certainly possible no team, even the plurality leader, has a majority lead at this point.

Think we'll know a LOT more once he takes his other trips and (hopefully) comes back for the O&W scrimmage. Bama and UGA visits are no joke...just hope we can remind him how they're salivating over Arch and we're all-in on him.

Maybe he doesn't feel like the edge is "slight" or that the visit was the cause.

You know something or just have BVS
Haha...no bvs...just a hunch....I genuinely think the kid want to go to Oregon...I've seen several interviews n he's crazy bout the place...soon he will visiting them again and they will also chant for his moms tears...closer to the west coast than us...just makes sense...hope I am wrong

Only sport that school is good at is football and they play in the PAC-12 and then they still got ran off the field by a oklahoma team with half their offense out the door and with an interm head coach, also he wants to ge in the SEC and what's to be developed, dillingham is straight dog at developing qbs

Price has MASSIVELY shifted the way he talks about recruits since his Ty Simpson…goof…so honestly I don’t read too much into it

Nothing in his post suggest we have an edge. Just that we will be in the thick of it with UGA and Bammer since we're in the SEC with those 2 schools and his camp has suggested they want to play in the SEC. JMO.

Can’t wait until some of the posters with all of that “inside” info about Ty flipping show up in this thread with their valuable nuggets

If what you think is true, then why not just commit to Oregon?

He's crazy abt Oregon the place, coaching staff not so much, his entire family is crazy abt Knoxville and the coaching staff

Agreed. Oregon facilities/Swag/Nike NIL is the draw to Oregon. Their conference and coaching staff is a major risk. Pac 12 visibility nationally is weak. Dillingham is overrated. Guy goes to Auburn one year doesn’t develop QB worth a crap under Gus then goes to FSU and doesn’t develop a QB then gets out of dodge. He leaves places before train wrecks. I think Nike NiL will be the tough battle if they get involved as they probably will. Fan base while solid is not SEC level.

Nico wants SEC, fan base support/love, NIL, coaching, design swag. TN only one that truly has all of them in his list.

Plus who wants to play in front of a measly 50k

If that’s the case, I don’t think the family would do it on their own dime.
