Here's a September article about Lamaleava in the local paper. Sounds special enough for an all out effort similar to Stu Aberdeen's pursuit of Bernard King ( Downey Embassy Suites < than a mile away) More seriously, I imagine Lincoln Riley will be on this kid like a fly on chit. It's only 16 miles from Downey Warren HS to the USC campus. But then again, a lot of LA quarterbacks have recently gone east.
Nicholaus Iamaleava leads Warren past Gardena Serra
Getting a 5* QB in the boat early isn't just huge for the obvious reasons. It's also huge for perception of other top recruits.Getting this kid because of his actual talent would be great, but I think the greater impact is that it would send a message to the rest of the country that once again UT is recruiting nationally, and at a high level. We have to get that swagger back…
I think Dante Moore is better but "Iamaleava" at that.I think there's a lot going in our favor here.
I think he's the best QB prospect in the class, and I think a lot of other programs are going to spend a lot of time and resources in the Arch sweepstakes and we could benefit from making this kid the priority.
Disagree, look at Trevor Lawrence. He was a rail at Clemson his freshman year and was fine. This kid is 210-215 right now so he'll probably be 220-225 by the time fall of 2023.I actually think Dante Moore is better from an immediate impact perspective cause he’s built better and Nico needs to gain a bit of weight, but I think Nico’s ceiling is higher
