That’d be sweet. Not to be a Debbie downer, but Oregon has that NIKE $ and he’s probably going to give them a chance to raise their deal.

Nike has a board and shareholders, and the vast majority of them are not Oregon alums. Assuming a publicly traded company is going to sink millions of dollars into high school kid lottery tickets is a bit out of touch with reality. If Phil Knight wants to bankroll it himself, he certainly could, but Nike isn't spending heavily unless there's a clear ROI.

I doubt Nico will pony up the 350k back, that's almost certainly a condition of the contract if he welchs.
