If Cade Mays is leaving now, he would have left in the middle of the year at some point, any point he thought life wasn't fair, like a few other UT players. You guys should listen to Adrian Martinez interview with SEC country today. That kid is ALL VOL!!!

Says that the fact that the vol fans stayed till the end of the Georgia game and gave it their all as a fan base reinforces the fact that this is the family for him.

The only way this class is held together is if Butch rallies and wins every game and plays Bama a good game. Do fishing 9-3. 8-4 will have some attrition.

Anyone who doesn't think there are major problems is blind.

Sure, the recruits may be loyal to Butch but they see the results on the field. That was the worst home loss in A century. It was as bad as it looked.
The attrition and lockeroom drama have caught up to Butch.

8-4 may have SOME attrition, but I think you are severely underestimating the quality kids coach Jones is bringing into this program. There is going to be some attrition regardless.

LOL quit being an old gray turd. It's not creepy to follow somebody on twitter. If you don't know how something works then best just not talk about it. It's a bad look.

I know how it works. Its weird. Also funny to me is that folks often complain about what they are forced to read on twitter, something we all know is bounded to happen when you follow people you dont know.

Just curious, what does a grown man gain by following a high school kids that they have absolutely no other connection with?

What the heck does it matter if a fan follows a recruit on Twitter? There is nothing wrong with it so long as said fan doesn't interact or tweet @ recruits. Your delusion that it's creepy or weird is just that - your delusion.

You acting holier than thou over someone because they posted tweets from our commits is pretty pathetic.

That's ridiculous. Cade Mays is going to school to major in football. He'll also get a diploma in something else, but football is the most important thing in his immediate future because he has the tools to potentially make it to the NFL and the big bucks.

Now, the faculty members in charge of his major are either inept or being fired before he even gets to the school, and this could well make the value of his major far less than several months ago.

It's really no different from very smart kids who can get their choice of major, and scholarships, at any school in the country. They usually go where that major has the most value, and if the faculty blows up before they get there another school was already knocking on the door anyway.

Why? Get the right guy in here with our current roster who knows what he's doing and we can be competing for the East in very short order. Alternative is to keep Jones and watch the program erode to the point it was when he took over. I know which one I'd prefer.

If I were a coach looking for a position somewhere,I would consider the venom that comes from the fans after losing a game,or games.Butch is done at UT,whether it's now or later he is done.What I'm saying is,I would not want to coach somewhere the fans have no patience and tend to ridicule and scorn someone who has poured his soul into the job.Butch has given it his best.Maybe just maybe no one can recruit with the schools who have more and better instate players and have boosters with suitcases built to last!! Im 71 and have developed a little patience over the years.Currie needs to have a plan in place,before leaping back into coaching purgatory.Go Vols!!!
