California Lunacy Thread

I know you are trolling, but what Puddinhead can do between now and Jan 20th is THE most important and most scary issue.
Indeed. What he’s already done since the election serves no purpose other than to create obstacles and more work for the Trump administration. Biden and the left just wanted to give the MSM some red meat, sit back and criticize the Trump admin for what amounts to landmines Biden has put in their way, purposefully. I would come out swinging with EO’s that tear down everything last thing Biden did at least since November 6th and likely most things he did in the 3 1/2 years prior to that.

This. Worst admin in my lifetime, and thats a mouthful.

What a disgrace. The fact that nearly half of this country voted for MOAR of the 4 years of insanity and embarrassment is extremely unsettling.

Indeed.

One might reason that if inmates can support LA Fire Crews, so too could FDNY.

But as LA clearly has everything under control, I guess the issue is moot.

Again, way different types of firefighting going on out there.

For just structural and EMS duties, I have no doubt FDNY would be perfectly fine in that role. But it simply comes down to having extra equipment (which I'm seeing they likely don't), structure protection (which the FDNY likely hasn't been trained in) and secondary response to new wildfires that erupt (likely little to no training) they would be more of a hindrance rather than helpful.

Yes, I think we agree more than not here.

They could absolutely be of use in a support role, as opposed to fighting on the front lines.

Climate is more conducive for fire in that region.

Dont worry...most of them will take those fat million dollar checks and move to CO,AZ, NV...or Nashville, Asheville, Charlotte etc. Where they can buy property at half the price. Then they will vote for the EXACT SAME Liberal policies and clone politicians that RUINED the liberal sheitholes they came from. Over and over and over again.

Except that all the Hollywood elite have left for Canada haven't they?

I mean why is it terrible optics to decline FDNY's assistance for any reason. If it's not needed, and I'd say it is needed, then declining it wouldn't be terrible optics.
If she is thinks more help is not needed, the next homeowner that loses their house should move into hers, while she moves into theirs

The problem would be keeping them in said support role. These kinds of fires tend to take up every avaliable body.

Honestly between LAFD, LA County FD, Calfire, USFS, local mutual aid agencies, other State agencies (if they can get emissions cleared lol) and contractors, there likely are enough out there. The areas on fire are small enough in relative terms that there would be a finite number of firefighters they could cram in. Plus that terrain is not easily traversed (been out in that area several times myself) which is why they are heavily using air resources.

It sucks, but it was preventable.
