What changes have you seen? I was more interested in the study that they are basing the ban on… I wasn’t accusing anyone of being wrong or right.Anecdotal but I've seen the changes that happen with eliminating red dye.
There is a reason this stuff is banned everywhere but the US. I don't believe it's because we're simply smarter than everyone else
Synthetic food dyes have been shown to worsen ADHD in some kids. There are a couple of kids in my son's class that have removed it and seen improvement. The other students even know who shouldn't have it when bringing snacks. We avoid it in our house as well and it seems to have helped with my son's anxietyWhat changes have you seen? The idea that the US is the only country to approve all these chemicals didn't sit right with me. Money goes a very long way with our institutions
I can more easily see sugar in an ingredients list. When it reads like the back of a shampoo bottle then it's more difficult. Ingredients like red dye No. 3, titanium dioxide, potassium bromate, brominated vegetable oil, or propyl paraben. Good or bad?Sugar makes kids fat
Let’s ban it all then.I can more easily see sugar in an ingredients list. When it reads like the back of a shampoo bottle then it's more difficult. Ingredients like red dye No. 3, titanium dioxide, potassium bromate, brominated vegetable oil, or propyl paraben. Good or bad?
The US history with groups like the sugar or hfcs lobby is also a real issue in the health of this nation. Trying to address it doesn't sound like lunacy to me
I remember reading a long time ago about the sugar cartel in the US and how it was subsidized. I just did a quick search and this popped up, but I know nothing about this company, but probably explains why high fructose corn syrup is in everything.Let’s ban it all then.
Yes it is in excess and scientists were bought off to point the finger at other things. That caused a great health issue in this country that were still dealing with. Maybe we should work on getting on front of those issues instead of hoping our citizens become chemists or can figure out what red 40 actually isSugar is harmful.
Give me the information and allow me to choose. We put “this will kill you” signs on cigarettes.
Other countries certainly ban all manner of activity they deem harmful to the public.
I hold out no hopes that the citizenry will reach a greater understanding. I guess it’s for their own good that we ban it.Yes it is in excess and scientists were bought off to point the finger at other things. My FIL is on disability because of it. He also gets it because the USA thought spraying agent orange everywhere wouldn't hurt anyone either. It also affects the genetics of his grandkids and their ability to reproduce. But hey, he had a choice right? My God man, haven't you heard about Camp LeJeune, NC? Spigot water kills if you lived there 40+ years ago.
So you think that camp LeJeune was an isolated case? My father was in Vietnam and was exposed to agent orange, but he didn't get a disability payment from the government, although he certainly came down with a nasty disease that left him bedridden and immobile in his last few years of life.My FIL is on disability because of it. Isolated? I think it just became too obvious to ignore that they poisoned people. He had blockages that almost killed him and cost him half his toes on both feet. Freaks out the Asian ladies when he gets a pedicure. The sad fact is it affects my boys and likely their kidsSo you think that camp LeJeune was an isolated case? My kids both had kids, so is there a special concern you have about your children?Isolated? I think it just became too obvious to ignore that they poisoned people.
