Ah, so Pearl having as many Sweet 16s in 4 years as we have in our entire history is something for us to mock Pearl for. No problem, I get it.

Wow, what a pathetic group of fans here.

If you don't like us, you can always go back and root for Milwaukee. Nobody here will miss you a single bit.

If that's your standard, Cal has hung so many conference title banners at his previous stops that they almost obscure the scoreboards. True UT fans are rejoicing at Cal landing at Kentucky. He'll do for the snitching, Pump brother loving piece of garbage we have coaching basketball what Nick Saban landing at Alabama did for the fat, 'AA stool pigeon we ran last year.

As usual, pathetic. And, yeah, it was Saban who got Fulmer to lose to Florida and have two losing seasons. Right.

"Flame out in two years". I will remember that one and remind you many times. It must burn to see Pearl succeed in a way that you hoped to do and instead left you to make little petty hits on the guy on message boards.

Who cares if they miss me or not? I'm not the one who has set themselves up as some sort of professional on this site, then spend 75% of my time assassinating the character of the coach of this team's site and engaging in insult fests with the posters to prove how witty I am.

I don't know why you defend Pearl,He has yet show me somthing great anyone could have taken us to the sweet 16 with the talent we've had the past years he fails to recruit well (THE POINT GUARD) the only real thing he brought was a press, that we did well in 2 years and he does nothing to bring us publicity a midnight madness would be great but no we bring good recruits to an exabition if it wasn't for the rock and B.king who knows where we'd stand with Tobias.

All I have to say is that I get to set back and laugh at all of you. Enjoy fluffing Bruce for the next couple of years. When he crashes., I'll, as usual win.

Ugh, the personification of delusions of granduer. I'm sure you were saying this two years ago, too. And, you'll be saying this in two years, as well. Then, two years after that......

You do spend 75% of your time whining, though. That's bad enough.

Here's a thousand dollar bet. Tennesee makes the Elite Eight in the next two years, I pay. They don't send me the check.

No, you said flame out in two years. I've never said we'll be in the Elite Eight within these two years. I did say we could be in the Elite 8 this year and that anything less than making the Sweet 16 is a huge disappointment and underachievement for this team.

So, I don't quite consider not making the Elite 8 within two years as "flaming out". Maybe you want to bet on something akin to Pearl actually "flaming out".

So, I'll tell you what. Pearl has a losing season and is fired within two years, I'll send you that check. Deal?

Wasn't Gillispie supposed to outlast Pearl?
Wasn't 2009-10 supposed to be Pearl's last year at UT? Well, I guess that's still possible.

Wow. This one missed the mark just a tad.

Maybe hat meant he'd outlast Pearl at the bar? Honest mistake.

All I have to say is, putting up with annoying UK fans for the next few years is almost enough to fire Bruce. People can bring out Pearl's head to head record with Cal all they want, but UK is a whole different monster than Memphis. Last year we could sort of claim bragging rights, but when UK starts winning again the crap they throw our way will be relentless. I'm afraid.

This is why I don't understand how UT fans can root for UK to pull any football upset. By and large, they want our basketball program to go back to the dark ages. I wish the same in turn for football.

1. I hate Kentucky.
2. Cals at the wrong school.
3. If he coached at UT no one would have a problem with him.

First of all it must be said, that Rupp was completely full with rabid fans who are the most knowledgeable about basketball in NCAA.

I'm sorry, but I stopped reading your post after that first sentence. Anyone who believes that the UK basketball is on average any more knowledgeable than a typical Roberston County Jr. Pro mother needs to evaluate their perception.

Kentucky fans may wear more blue and have more tacky crap stuck in their front yard and proudly spell out their team's name in bars and streets and churches, but that doesn't make them knowledgeable. I bet you won't meet 1 in 1,000 that can tell a zone from man-to-man, or correctly identify their 3 best players, or name the "other" 2 best teams in the conference. They cheer just as loudly when EKU misses a free-throw down 40 in the second half against them as they will against UT up 2. Richie Farmer was the greates Cat ever, Pat Riley, Dan Issel, Jamal Mashburn, and Dan Issel were really from Kentucky, and Adolf Rupp was a great humanitarian.

Kentucky fans are as basketball stupid as any I have ever come across, and that includes great centers of learning and basketball like Ole Miss and Auburn.

In short, do not confuse "loud" with "knowledgeable."

Not me. But thats just me. lol I like Ewww T basketball when were not playing each other.

Also, I think it helps to have a strong/always ranked rival in conference. It helps in more ways in one, from strength of schedule to playing favorably to the braintrust of the AA' in the tourney bracket seeding. Florida can't seem to decide year to year if they want to be mediocre or not.

As for the Cal issue, I think it was a neccessary evil in a way. This university was slipping, if not already over the edge into mediocrity. A hiring of any other mid major coach or ex Kentucky player would not have sufficed. I think everyone hopes that since Cal is under so much scrutiny that Mitch/lee Todd will keep him clean.

But who knows. It certainly stays in the back of my mind.

I'm liking the bet I made that UK would win more NCAA Tournament games in '08-'09, '09-'10,and '10-'11 than Tennessee. It'll just be a different guy winning them.

Not really. Indiana and Arizona laughing in the Pump Brothers' faces pretty much shows what chance Tanning Bed has of conning anyone into hiring him.
