Calipari should be fined.

he's probably the only coach that cusses. There's no place for that in college sports

Get out of here with that. There are plenty of coaches who cuss. In the past it was even worse than it is now. 20 years ago coaches wouldn't be as heavily scrutinized as they are now for using foul language. It's the heat of the moment type thing. Just as if you were driving down the road and someone suddenly cut you off, you'd be slipping some f-bombs. Terrence was not running the correct play and Calipari was obviously frustrated.

Does anybody nowhere i could find a video of this?

I think people are overreacting about the guy cussing but I would say he probably should tone it down on game days. You never know when the camera will have a close up on you. My high school cussed like a sailor at practice and in the locker room but he never did during the game because of women and kids I guess. I couldn't find a video of the latest incident with Jones but I did find this one from his days at Memphis.

Calipari has officially apologized to Terrence Jones for C's profane tirade on the sidelines. What Calipari did is far worse and more damaging than what Bruce did. Calipari's ass-chewing of Jones laced with the f-word reflects poorly on Kentucky and hurts with recruiting. What parent wants to send their son to play under a man who has a meltdown and curses like some punk out of the hood? I personally think Calipari should be fined.

Thank you for the laugh.

Why are they picking on Cal again? lol this is nothing. I recall the days hearing him yelling at Joey Dorsey and it was alot worse than this..This is just Cal nothing more nothing less..Mr. Jones will be thanking him in a couple of years.

this whole issue tickles me. if the worst thing that happens to TJ is that someone tells him he's playing/acting/thinking like a :crazy:as f'in (insert players name here) and told they were soft asses/p*ssies/etc. i guess ya'll are just a lil more bible belt oriented than i thought.
Cal is a phony piece of sh**

Well, I am a parent of a UT grad, and it would bother me if my son were considering a university to see the coach have a meltdown and use profanity in a game setting. If Caiipari had directed that string of f-words at an official, he would have been T-ed up. If there is nothing wrong with the f-word in some circumstances, then why does Volnation not allow the word f***?

But that's my point -- are YOU from the hood? Probably not, which is why it would bother you (It bothers me too!). That type of language is likely unnecessary to motive your kid and get his respect. A kid from the hood may need to be spoken to that way to earn the respect and get the motivation. Polite and firm just doesn't cut it for most kids who grew up in the hood.

Are you a hood psychologist?

No one shouts profanities at a recruit more than a drill sergeant. Hasn't hurt the army's recruiting.

It will hurt his recruiting? Are you serious? Have you ever played sports after middle school? Coaches drop F bombs and scream at players much worse than this. I dont remember Bob Knight, Coach K, Jim Calhoun, Vince Lombardi or any other high profile coach apologizing for language.

If Cal wouldnt have apologized, this would have been a non-issue. But I guess UK's rivals try and exploit every little thing in hopes of hurting his recruiting dominance.

maybe it will take something like this to open the eye's of the parents and ky fans. however it never seemed to hurt bobby knight as a coach or recruiting.

I guess you forgot that Knight got fired from IU for his rants and treatment of students. Plenty of good coaches have proven that it's unnecessary to behave that way to get your point across.

Knight was fired for strangling, pushing and hitting his players. Not telling someone he was F%$#@ Selfish. Are you seriously comparing the two? Coach K is 10 times worse than Cal...maybe he's awful, too.

Maybe UK should hire Crean from IU....he seems like a smiley nice pleasant man.

What does Cal say to kids to get them to come to his schools. I mean, its easy at Kentucky, but what did he say at UMass and Memphis? besides obvious violations.
