Seen this on TOS and thought it was interesting.

“@DanieLewisUTCBS: UT TE Cam Clear said he has been in contact with Cuonzo Martin about potentially playing football and basketball.”

Really good basketball player in HS and I could see this working. Would be awesome if Dooley didn't have a problem with him playing ball.

I always think thats a weird situation but if the guy can ball hopefully he gets a chance. I looked up what info I could find on him and seen a couple of videos but only 1 star? Pretty sure his focus was on football though. Guy has a really nice frame and obviously nice hands. Plus, it don't hurt that he played and started on a pretty decent HS team.

2 sport atheletes in college usually aren't awesome at either one.

Dooley talked about it in the interview from 3/31. He wants him to focus on football.

Usually is right unless elite athletes which I haven't heard that about Cam. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders are all time raritys.

ehh the ugly Duke PG was a decent HS quarterback. Didn't he go to Syracuse after he graduated from Duke? Not sure how his career ended up.

Don't know that he would see the court. Too much depth at his position if Cuonzo plans on keeping an eight man rotation.

I would have done the same thing, but knowing what I do now about the wear and tear on a college athletes body, he would be smart to stick to just football. His knees will look like worn break pads at the end of his career.

From his Scout profile:

Clear is also being recruited for basketball. Clear plays power forward and averages 12 points and nine rebounds per game. “As for now my focus is on football (in college). But I’d consider playing both if I could.”

If I didnt know you were talking about Greg Paulas I would be baffled. All Duke point guards have been ugly. He had a pedestrian football season to answer though. He followed the Grad program transfer exception.

Hey from your earlier responses to my post our acls probably have a lot to do with our take on that. I am with your boat. How is your knee compared to prior your tearing broseph? What am I looking at? PreOP therapy is giving me some ideas whats down the pike.

Matt Jones also disagrees

Matt Jones was overrated as a QB, and he flamed out as a WR in the NFL. Was a limited role player on Ark's bball team....averaged about 5 pts a game if I remember correctly. So Matt is wrong to disagree about his own legacy.

Doesn't JH run track?

He may not after this injury rehabs. I am sure he is being counseled where his millions where will be coming from. And track isn't the same qualifier as the revenue generating sports is what is hard to excel at both.
