Cam Newton Entering NFL Draft (merged)

Yeah, your def sure had a lot to do with those two TDs he overthrew (with little pressure) and the one that was dropped. You guys were lucky they didn't score 3 more TDs on you. He has made those throws all year long and finally had a bad night. I will admit the Ducks did a good job slowing him way down running though.... but whatever makes you feel better.

Then he simply looked average on his own. Also, the Ducks should have scored 2 or 3 more TDs as well, and probably would have if not for some inexplicable play calling in the red zone.

Auburn has money to burn now.

There was no way that Auburn could match the NFL money.

I hope his dad understands that the NFL works different. He can't simply go up to Dallas and say

"It's gonna cost you 150 million if you want my sons signature. Praise Jesus!!!"

I am not a barn fan, and I despise C Newton(and yes I agree he looked average on his own)and N Fairley. My point wasn't that AU should have blown Ore out. I just think it's rediculous for the duck fans to act like they had anything to do with Newton overthrowing wide open rec all game. He had been deadly in just about every game till then. It wasn't like they were pressuring him into missing open rec either. They just got lucky and caught him on a bad day throwing. Also these guys keep talking about how they could have scored more TDs, but ignore the fact that so could AU. I really don't like either team so I could care less. I was just making an impartial observation. Regardless of the could've-should'ves AU played overall better than Oregon and deserved to win.

You do remember that Oregon was scoring at will against us in Neyland?

They are the national runner up.

UT is below .500, again.

13 games with exceptional performances and he has a "bad game" on the biggest stage of his career to this point with over a month to prepare for and it's chalked up to just having a bad day?

Sure hope Bud Adams doesn't think "cam" is his guy this draft, or I will be looking for a new team to follow.

We were discussing Cam Newton against Oregon. Not Oregon against UT. You sound like an undercover quack masquerading as a Vol fan. And for that matter I'm not and never have been impressed with the 34 pts Oregons offense put on our depleted defense. Especially since nearly all of their offense only happened after our rediculously thin defense finally wore out in the third quarter.

What I said is true quacker. I did give credit to oregons D for slowing him down running, but to act like they had something to do with Newton missing wide open receivers when he had no pressure on him is rediculous. And yes the greatest QBs of all time have had bad games that have nothing to do with the other teams Def playing especially well. Sometimes it does, this time it didn't. And also like I said earlier, I am impartial here as I hate both teams about equally. I especially despise Scam Newton. Is origame your second team or something? Or are you just a totally fuax Vol? I assume one or the other since you got so upset at my opinion you had to go out of your way to insult YOUR team.:salute: ByeBye now.

I just posted my thoughts from a realist's perspective. In case you have missed the last 5 years of UT football, that was not an insult.

Honestly, you look like a complete biased homer when a team that finished 6-7 get's blasted by said opponent by a 5 TD margin and yet you criticize said opponent for losing a very close game in the MNC game.
