True, but everyone is looking at UConn being 1-7 playing in Neyland...yes any given Saturday but the odds are really high for the Vols go up big and quick, hopefully that happens and thennnn....If we keep kicking field goals we aren’t ever going to be up big. Almost bit us against Kentucky and definitely did against Alabama
Pretty big adjustment from a small single A high school to SEC football. Cam is a true freshman and I believe only a matter of time before he does great things at UT. I think it is a blessing for him that he has people in front of him that he can watch and learn from. The blocking assignments and the overall playbook. I really am hoping we jump on UConn early and often. Getting our young people some valuable playing time will help down the road and into bowl season and next year. It also gives our starters a little breather before Missouri and Georgia. We need to take advantage of this game and hopefully we get to play a lot of folks. Might leave Thornton out there a little bit just to let him get a good flow going. GBOI’ve followed cam closely since watching a backstory on his recruitment process from high school. Seems like the kinda kid Tennessee needs to get more of! He already looks like a junior or senior. Hoping he has a big rest of the season
Not really invalid got lucky that Kentucky didn’t win by a single point of any of those are td rather than field goal you have a 10 pt lead versus a 6 and having to sweat it out. If you want to be elite you don’t settle for field goals in the red zone like tn has lately. The field goals were the difference in the Kentucky game. So your point is invalid.
With our running game and dominance of the clock I was not sweating against a team that was having trouble getting a drive against us late in the game. Not really invalid got lucky that Kentucky didn’t win by a single point of any of those are td rather than field goal you have a 10 pt lead versus a 6 and having to sweat it out. Yea but it sucks to know you can lose on just one screw up. My sons playoff game the other day was to a team we beat 32-14 but they studied our sets and adjusted this time plus I have 2 about 70% and best wr gone we won but only 6-0 sucks when you know it only takes one screw up and you could lose. With our running game and dominance of the clock I was not sweating against a team that was having trouble getting a drive against us late in the game.
I was also not worried because I know who is the coach of the Kentucky Wildcats.
