I don't want to sound down on the kid...I truly wish him well...but I remember watching the practice videos and thinking he didn't belong in an SEC level secondary...he was just so slow twitch compared to the others in all the videos I saw

The kid has a very high football IQ. He has a long career in football if he want it.

Dang, seems like he had a good spring and was a positive locker room presence - wish him well going forward.

THIS. And that's about all that needs to be said.

But now the race is on to see who is the first D-Bag to post that"Bye" giff from Tombstone to prove they're both an A-hole and haven't an original thought in their brain.

I wish the young man well. Hopefully he can find a place he can get some playing time and work on his craft. Meanwhile, that opens up another spot for us. This could work out as a win / win.

Dang it. And I had it all ready to post!

All joking aside, if someone leaves for playing time that they won't get here, it's hard to do anything BUT wish them well and thank them for the time they contributed.

Here’s hoping we have somebody on the line in the portal. I’m hoping it’s an olineman.

I’m sure he’s a good kid and all and no offense meant here but let’s get real. If he couldn’t get playing time in that secondary, he isn’t SEC caliber. Several of the starters didn’t need to be out there either but we obviously had nobody else. Simply have to have improvement in that area with better players and coaching. If some have to leave, so be it.

I read that as he could coach in his future. Maybe I’m crazy.
Not so crazy. The saying those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. How many really great players make great coaches? I think there's something about guys who fought and didn't make it that allows them a unique perspective in how to deal with players and the struggles they face.
