You always have to wonder when a guy comes out of nowhere in a contract year.
that is very true, but I think the Browns in general were just a better team. Solid running game, good receivers and an O-line that didn't get him murdered. I also think he could have shined simply by knowing he had a spot on the bench warmed up for him if he did fail. That spot is still there and is still nice and toasty, even for winters in Cleveland. He also has a plethora of weapons to help him out. I think Anderson will be fine and Quinn winds up elsewhere.
But to my original point, if he does implode, Quinn is there. There's a huge question on if Quinn will make it, but having two qbs poised to be big timers, Cleveland's qb situation is anything but a mess. Most teams would love that situation if they could afford it.
I have to watch Carolina games where I live on Fox. David Carr was outplayed last year by a rookie from Oregon State (Matt Moore, I think). It's known that he holds onto the ball way to long in the pocket. He also may have the most akward throwing motion I have ever seen in a QB.
matt moore was the worst QB in the pac-10 for 3 out of his 4 years. i can't believe he'd actually be a servicable QB in the NFL.
Derek Anderson was one of the most inconsistent, spotty QB's I've ever seen in the Pac-10, and he just put together a great year in Cleveland. Sometimes there are guys that come out of college with what you'd think to be no shot in the NFL and just shine for some reason. Not that I think it will happen with Matt Moore, just saying.matt moore was the worst QB in the pac-10 for 3 out of his 4 years. i can't believe he'd actually be a servicable QB in the NFL.
