I believe Heupel's history shows us that TN starting QBs should be in the conversation every year on stats alone. Obviously, winning is the other critical factor.

I imagine we probably have the wrong guy running the show if we're not putting up big numbers.

He could do it, with some help. I think everyone in the program feels bad about the way the season ended and hooker being left out of New York, when realistically if he hadn’t torn his acl, he might have won it. And I also don’t think we tried to pad hookers stats. I think we could see it for joe this year though.

I would much rather see a playoff run than to worry about some stupid trophy where the goalposts are moved every time a UT player is mentioned in the same sentence with it.

Cool, because if we make a playoff run then we've beaten Bama AND Georgia. Which means old Joe will be smack dab in the middle of the Heistman picture. Much like Hooker was, until the debacle in Athens.

All Hendon did to get to the top of the Playoff rankings and the Heistman rankings was throw touchdowns & win games. The Tennessee starter will be in the race everytime if we are winning. That's the deal with CJH. We just gotta win. The rest will take care of itself.
