So if we lose to Georgia but win the rest, and A&M beats Texas, Texas is out at 10-2 but we’re in at 10-2? Nah.LSU could still lose one more and be in…same with A&M/Texas loser…Bama can’t make it in over Vols…that’s the only definite…so if they get in, we are definitely in…at 10-2 that is…Bama is alive but they need some things to go their way already
I hope so, but if A&M and LSU have two or fewer losses, along with a plethora of unbeaten and one-loss teams from other conferences, things may get tricky. Both would be in…2 loss Bama would be in trouble then, along with Mizzou etc…if we can get to 10-2, we are going to be good to go, as is Texas
Yep..control what we can control…the name of the game…I hope so, but if A&M and LSU have two or fewer losses, along with a plethora of unbeaten and one-loss teams from other conferences, things may get tricky.
These things always work themselves out. We just need to keep winning the games we’re supposed to.
You left out 5-2 Ole Miss. what if they win out including beating UGA in Oxford?Right now, here are the contenders
ACC - Clemson, Miami, Pittsburgh
Big12 - BYU, Iowa State, Kansas State
Big10 - Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Indiana, Illinois
SEC - Alabama (still alive but need to win out), Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M
G5 - Boise State, Army/Navy
Other - Notre Dame
There are probably some 1-loss teams that I am missing but this seems to be the pact currently. Big12 has a bunch of mediocre programs so I think they will eat each other. I don't think BYU or Iowa State will hold up.
In the ACC, Clemson looks solid but they cannot afford an ACC title loss. They can loss and win it (get autobid). Miami continues to win and Pitt is unbeaten so curious to see how that turns out.
Notre Dame needs to win out. I am not confident. 1 more loss eliminates them because that NIU loss is really bad (especially since NIU is losing a lot now)
So 4 for the SEC looks good. Biggest issue maybe Indiana or Illinois.
Still a lot of football to be played.
