Many of us have gone around on various Covid related issues but this simple idea has the potential to make peace... and end Covid as a significant health threat.

Please read. If you agree that this makes sense pass it on to friends but ESPECIALLY any elected official at the state or national level you have access to.

Failing the Coronavirus-Testing Test

I quit in the second paragraph after I read: "raging pandemic".

The issue raised in the article is accurate. I tested positive 3 weeks after becoming infected and long after being contagious. Everyone should be tested frequently just like the article stipulates.....but the problem is there are a sizable number of people who would think the frequent tests administered daily or weekly is a grand scheme by the government to institute behavioral control, collect data unlawfully, etc. and they wouldn’t do it. Look no further than the tin foil hat wearing morons on this board for evidence.

Then you clearly have firmly established your viewpoint, if you wanna call it that, based on whatever information you've been given.

Tell me what this is if it isn't a pandemic? (I think I know the lyrics to this song, I'd just like to hear them.)

Overreaction from irrational fear. Show me the data that warrants the reaction. Good grief, I have had this conversation how many times now? It's like World War Z.

I know, everybody just needs to toughen up and rub some dirt on it, right?...This big machine's gotta keep truckin' along no matter what.

To play devil's advocate, Shelby County can't even handle testing now (Multi-week delays, people testing "positive" without even having a test). I couldn't even imagine if everyone got tested 2x a week here.....

If we can check our own test results at home, we don't have to turn ourselves in to the Feds. We can just self-isolate.

Not necessarily. Susceptible people and hypochondriacs should stay sheltered. Let the rest live and deal with the outcome. As Drago said, "If he dies, he dies."
The bad guy said that...He's supposed to say that, because it's a detestable thing to say, and it's intended to elicit a strong feeling of dislike towards the character...Now I have no idea how you want to be perceived, but quoting the Foreign Villain in a Rocky movie doesn't drop you in the prettiest of lights...Maybe that's what you intended, just don't go to Church on Sunday morning and pretend to be a holy person, because you'd be a hypocrite.

Good read.

Like it states toward the end, should be a “no brainer”.

Does get in the way of “agendas” and of course all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$’s.

It's an impeachment hoax concocted by the liberal media to defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 election, of course! Are you slow on the uptake?

Not sure which way you're going with that. I am HIGHLY critical of our leaders and very suspicious as well. People are following instructions without even asking for proof that what they're being told is true or helpful. If believing I should get a good, objective proof that masks work as being proscribed makes me those things... so be it. When someone changes their position on masks 4 times... and another mocks the idea of masks on everyone... and flip complete with pressuring professional organizations to take down studies contradicting their now certain opinion that masks help... I find it hard to trust just their "say so".

You become part of the problem when you write off those who disagree with you like this... and you are naive if you don't think we don't have reason to suspect our corrupt political class.

I don't know a SOUL among those you refer to who would not prefer a simple, private paper test to mask mandates and forced vaccinations.

Don't. Regardless of what you think of the virus... this proposed test diffuses it COMPLETELY within weeks with a simple, non-invasive paper self-test.

Fair enough. I will read it again, but when references like I mentioned appear, there is a set narrative.

Actually it is both. It is a pandemic and a serious health issue.

It has also been a COMPLETELY irrational overreaction from fear stoked by a media narrative that is out of control.

You can ignore that and just look at the test they've developed. Private. Simple. Cheap. No need for mask mandates or even social distancing restrictions. And we never get to that coming war over attempts to mandate vaccines.

If every every player decided to sign a hold harmless agreement and no fans were permitted in the stadiums, I'd be for it.
I want football.
Earlier someone had some mocking words for those who do not trust the "experts"... this kind of statement reinforces the argument of those folks. You've believed something that is very unlikely to be true. Namely that crowds in and of themselves spread the virus.

The critical thing with this virus is viral load. There are environments where that is more and less likely to occur. Since the virus days within two minutes of exposure to sunlight AND is diluted by air flow outside... you would be FAR safer RE Covid in The Swamp than your local sports bar or home with guests.

It could be necessary to spread people out since yelling could cause people to spit on each other... but again that test would even negate that.

The testing isn't performed by them and doesn't go to a lab. You get an instant result once the virus begins to multiply in your body. According to the article, that positive result will allow you to self-quarantine BEFORE you are contagious.

Pretty simple guys. You can fight over the things this negates... or you can put it in front of your state and national legislators and anyone else you can find until there's a way for it to be approved for marketing.

I have already contacted my friend who is a State Senator to see if she can get it on the desk of Missouri's governor. We have communities here on the verge of civil war over mask mandates. I have another friend who is preparing a lawsuit against a county health director over her autocratic actions.

This only gets MUCH worse if we wait to see if government tries to mandate vaccination.

Because if the vaccine works, then yes it needs to be mandatory.
